Yeah exactly. This is a subsidy for onshoring, which means building facilities, training staff, etc. so at best this turns around to profit in a couple of years so these companies are going to have bad reports while they're spending for startup.
Realistically there was no reason to subsidize this. Most of this offshoring of semiconductors could have been halted with minor tarrifs, and I'm talking like a 1% tarrif would have eaten all the profits of offshoring.
People like Musk want to brag about the work ethic of the Chinese. Okay. 30% rejection rate for quality control is work ethic? In those six 12 hour days they're doing the same work as people doing five 10 hour days... except they're not because that's still a whole shit ton of waste that has to be paid for and recouped. Almost like 40 hour weeks were figured out to be the most efficient by industry titans who focused on efficiency and affordability.
Like holy shit guys chinese EV companies are fucking outsourcing to the west while numpties like Musk praise the Chinese work ethic. Maybe cause Chinese workers drive the cars off the tops of buildings and other dumb shit because they hate their lives and barely sleep cause they're doing 16 hour days "voluntarily".
So, I’m not sure what’s in the bill, I’m sure their’s fat pork and garbage attached to it but....isn’t this bill something that’s good for America? So that we start making chips for all the things we are short on now, in the states? Helping boost jobs and manufacturing? And, with Nancy’s beau dumping his stock, because anything international is gonna get undersold here in America...?
Which honestly still doesn’t make sense because if I could make a pair of boots, someone could buy them cheaper, here in America, if I made them in China. So I still don’t understand this locally making stuff bill. Sounds good, never is.
Buying millions of dollars of stocks will raise the price a few points at which time you sell reaping at least 5% gain in a week on millions of bucks. I am making .002% annually on a CD right now!

Congress (democrats) once again fucking with the free market to make it less free, thereby raising prices for everyone. Nice job, you retarded twats.
Buy on the rumor, sell on the news?

Oh that's just completely a coincidence in timing..........
Everyone should be dumping NVidia anyways for their 5nm contract their signed AFTER the clear signs Crypto was dying off.

Why the hell is our tax money going to chip manufacturers? Don't remember this in the Constitution.
Maybe a brave reporter will push it…..lol jk
I still don’t understand how anyone could remotely justify giving that industry money.
