That doesn't seem like a friendly hand clasp. It looks more like desperation, as if she's holding on for dear life (or has been ordered NOT to let go of that hand under any circumstances).
Her thumb is white knuckled with other hand in a fist. Definitely not a natural, relaxed hand hold. Maybe she's drunk - maybe she's scared, maybe she is just clingy.
