Thats why its so hard... Compassion is hard but through learning it we become more like our creator who loves ALL of us.
Amen. It’s easy to love those who treat us well, loving those who hate us is the challenging part.
“If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much.” Matthew 5:46
Can we still drop them from choppers though?
LOL I made this account before I found God. Name still makes me laugh though.
Username checks out.
I have to admit, the username u/SWOL_of_CINDER made me laugh
So, whats the proper way to drop?
ChopperDropper to the WoodDipperChipper
While saying "this will hurt me more than it will hurt you".
Man I always hated that line when I was a kid, but as a parent...it's so true.
So I don't believe people do wrong by punishing crime.
Christ didn't say let them walk all over you.
It is proper to tell a convicted criminal, "We forgive you for your crimes against me, now die in peace." <shove>
Jesus is concerned about our soul. Forgiveness is for our soul. The anger of someone wronging you can corrupt your soul to the point where you become the thing you hated. Which is one of the reasons you're ordered to forgive.
But to keep a rabid dog around you is contrary to wisdom. You can pity them and pray for them. But if their existence is a threat, their apologies are just temporary till they get back up, and they never changed you either remove them from you, or destroy them.
Amen....
The part about God loving ALL of us isn't exactly true though. He does love everyone, at least at the beginning of their life, but at a certain point you can become hated by him. At least that is what I believe.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: ... a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1, 8 KJV
The verse from 2 Timothy is just to remind people that you can't just disregard some scripture... Like Ecclesiastes 3:1,8 where God's word says there is a time to hate.
For additional supporting arguments and scripture to this controversial statement, I recommend listening to this sermon by Steven Anderson. You will even learn of scripture where it says God hates certain people: http://faithfulwordbaptist.org/030407p.mp3
We are all equal in the eyes of God, even the darkest most evil of souls transitions to the light it just takes longer and involves a lot more pain. We are all children of God.
But that is my belief, we are all allowed to believe what we wish.
I also disagree with this statement. God gives people over to a reprobate mind to do those things which are inconvenient. Once you're a reprobate... How do I put it? It's not that you can't be saved but you won't be. Read Romans chapter 1. It's fine if you disagree with me, but I really try to base my beliefs on the bible. Downvoting doesn't bother me. Additionally, only those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, that is to say: the saved, are children of God.
Thanks for the insight, ive always believed all life has a spark of divinity. The way I know God is that He cannot live a normal life so He is divided into all of creation. All life comes from Him and in the end all life returns.
I don't necessarily have a religion, I take bits from many different religions, on a spiritual level I have gifts of being able channel, this has allowed me to peel back a small amount of the veil. But I lack the capability to comprehend some of the things ive seen and been shown.
Not sure about the downvotes but your position is valid and I appreciate you contributing your point of view, its refreshing to see your truth in a world of deception. Love and Light ✨
Great point about the reprobate mind. I can't argue with you on that one.
Also there is John 8:44
You’re probably right but today I was listening to a sermon about the prodigal son. We as parents can teach and instruct but God gave us free will, including our children, to make their own choices. If your child went against your will, would you hate them? I guess every parent would have a different answer. Would I have opened my arms to my prodigal son?? I honestly don’t know….
Right…but before he repented he was an asshole…much like these assholes….how much time do we allow for them to repent?
I’m not saying you’re wrong or trying to convince you that hate is wrong. Perhaps it is right. But for me, the hate did nothing to change the assholes but it did eat me up. For me, it was not beneficial.
