A friend going into an electrical apprenticeship the end of August, he's going to love this.
My sister's wife (I know, guise, I know) was the first female lineman in either Oregon or Washington, I forget. And she makes BANK. She just retired for a second time, as they called her back from the first retirement in 2020.
I cracked up at, "Can't find a Philosopher job"
Kek - same.
Her: Profession?
Him: Standup Philosopher.
Her: Oh.....A Bullshit Artist!
A fellow I worked with got a degree in Philosophy and several years after he had graduated still couldn't find meaningful work, so he went back to college and got an degree in Civil Engineering. He is doing just fine now.
Or maybe a job as a "diversity officer."
i have a degree in psychology - i too wish i did a trade - keep telling the kids - life skills - then again i did learn from that degree - no matter what people are "taught" aka true real hard facts - most are still too oblivious of it happening to them. If you are studying psych and dont see the current shitshow for what it is - you failed.
Use that degree to get a job in social services. They're screaming for social workers, and pay has gotten much better over the years.
would love to - unless i line up for 3 jabs its never gonna happen. And before this convid mess I was told from an interview "too passionate about child protection", so unless the system changes and actually wants to help kids - i got no hope
I have a useless college degree but then I learned to code and things came together pretty easily after that.
I started off in trades, after 10 years I was able to pay my way through engineering. Afterwards, it took me about 5 years of work to hit the break even point.
As far as trades, the only way I could make more was run faster or hire more people, hiring more people would have had me competing with major contractors.
People would generally better served by learning a trade after high school to really know if they want to go back to school, or to be exposed to other trades and get a feel for what interests them... it's respectful money.
The thing is, the education should NOT cost anywhere near what it does, that's really a part of the student loans artificially inflating tuition and loan values, all backed by government and a signature.
It all boils down to Blackrock and Vanguard. They own the financial institutions who loan out the money.
University
Uni = one. Verse (when used as a suffix) a "fictional world associated with an author".
Ity = quality, state or degree.
University= one fictional world associated with a particular author.
One world (gov) under Satan (tje author).
You can gain degrees of this indoctrination. Associates, bachelor's, masters and doctors. All students of fiction, the most indoctrinated are considered the brightest and best. Given authority and power over the cattle. Nothing more than operators af a rote system that keeps Satan's will pushed forward to keep people blind when giving the. The illusion they see . The very reason God sent Jesus Christ. To give sight to the spiritually blind people of earth.
