That's because you are eliminating; Sugar, processed foods, Wheat, grains.
Introducing natural fats and healthier fiber and vegetables into your diet.
In other words, eating the foods we used to eat when we were a nation of farmers.
They didn't just infiltrate our government, they infiltrated everything! Banking, Health, manufacturing, food production, education.
The Standard American Diet ("SAD") is rife with sugar, processed foods and wheat (and other) grains and is highly inflammatory to the body. Most of what I've read points to inflammation as a primary contributor to, if not the cause of, illness and affliction.
So, it would seem that going back to nature (whole, organic, non-GMO vegetables, fruits, fiber, fats, meats - all in moderation) and denying the sweet tooth would support better health and well-being.
Right. I have to wonder if it needs to be a keto diet or if simply eating clean Whole Foods will get the same results. I can easily eat clean but keto ... it's so restrictive and I don't like the way I feel.
Keto diet still so fats but from fish and seafood and less from dairies and meats.
Your still good to go with eggs, cheese, poultry, red meat but you’d do less then your typical keto person. And most of your fat should come from fish/seafood/nuts/avocado/good oils etc
Thanks. I did Keto for around 6 months and lost about 50lbs. Best diet ever. But you definitely get lazy sometimes and start doing fast food burgers without the bun. Mediterranean sounds delicious.
The key is whole foods. I made a lot of fat bombs and pizzas and stuff and always felt like crap. Then. I switched to meat, veggie and not trying to make something taste like something else (aka pizza) and that was the ticketl

I lost on the keto diet with exercise, but I gained it all back and then some.
When I was doing it, I was losing close to a pound a day.
I'm going to restart.
