Was talking to a friend yesterday, very liberal Trump hater. He brought up something about Trump having " nuclear stuff" at Mar Lago. I laughed and told him we will have to wait and see what happens. He then brought up treason and I told him if Trump actually comitted treason he should be hanged at Gitmo as well as anyone else who did including Hillary, Obama ,Biden ,Pelosi. He changed the subject to chess.

Most people I know with college degrees have zero critical thinking skills or street smarts. Non of my blue collar friends took the jab, ALL of my white collar friends did though.

IMHO, "people are people"; though they may never find it, everyone has at least one kind of talent/genius; and, as much as many try to equate the two, education isn't the same thing as intelligence (cleverness, ability to learn things, inventiveness, resourcefulness, self-sufficiency, etc.)
*Some are book smart but lack common sense/intelligence,
*Some are book smart and have common sense/intelligence,
*Some didn't have much formal education but have tons of common sense/intelligence and
*Sadly, some lack formal education as well as common sense/intelligence.
Nevertheless, we're all God's children and are commanded to love one another (even though, especially in the past few years, it can VERY often be VERY difficult).

True that having an education didn't help people with discernment over what's happening, but the bigger issue is the gilded cage we've been living in. So many people are happy to not ask questions about things at all, which many friends have explicitly told me
Some of the uneducated ones get a taste when they land well paying jobs in government or wherever and start to feel superior. One guy I know went from burger king to government paper pusher. Always asks me loaded questions about the politics going on, while clearly thinking himself to be smart by siding with the mainstream view
