How Does One Wake Up? By Gary D. Barnett

“A strong man cannot help a weaker unless the weaker is willing to be helped, and even then the weak man must become strong of himself; he must, by his own efforts, develop the strength which he admires in another. None but himself can alter his condition.”
~ James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
Contrary to popular belief, “waking up,” as in seeking and accepting truth, is not something that requires outside assistance, force, or consensus. It is not something that can be bought. It is not something that can be given to you. It is not something that can at once happen to the collective masses. There is no solution that can awaken a people. There is no ‘leader’ who can awaken the herd. There is only the individual, and each individual is responsible for his own awakening. That oh so rare awakening means gaining for self the ability to think, to think as an individual, to think critically, to accept what he alone thinks, to seek and know truth, and to act on that individual knowledge. This fact, in my view, is why most all humans remain completely unconscious for their entire lives, never understanding truth, or anything of value or honesty, and living only to accept the opinions of others, especially government, media, celebrities, and so-called experts and authority figures. They have to remain in the crowd, never straying from the ‘group think,’ never taking a risk, and therefore, never having an original or independent thought. This is considered the ‘safe place,’ and in the minds of this collective, this means protection from reality.
I am asked almost daily: “What is your solution to this madness?” “What plan do you have to fix our problems?” “What are you doing to wake everybody up?” “Who should we ‘elect’ to save us?” I am heavily criticized at times for telling the truth instead of staying ‘positive.’ I am cursed for being too critical and ‘negative.’ Questions and comments such as these are a sure sign of an unconscious mind, a non-thinking person, and a proud member of the unawakened herd of sheep.
One major example of the unawakened are those who cling to one political party or the other. In essence, the ‘party’ is simply a substitute for the original herd. One is Republican, one is Democrat, one is red and one is blue, one is conservative and one is ‘liberal.’ In fact, they are both herds supported by non-thinking drones. By claiming to be one or the other, no thinking is necessary, as all thought is accomplished by the red or blue herd as a whole. Obviously, when one votes, he is choosing a collective side, and picking who is to be his ruler, and in doing so, he becomes a slave, but he also acquiesces to the ‘thinking’ of the group instead of thinking for himself. This political structure was no accident, as this designed hostility of one against another guarantees group ‘think,’ and therefore eliminates the need for individuality, self, and responsibility. The amount of time and energy put into this asinine circus is evidence enough of the worthlessness of it all.
By looking to others, by looking outside, and by searching for opinions from the group instead of believing in self, one becomes dependent on what is mostly propaganda, and exposes that he does not have any trust in himself. This is why these seemingly helpless people cannot fix themselves or face the truth. This is why capitulation and submission to authority by the masses is now so rampant. This kind of behavior is similar to addiction in that the more people who look away for answers instead of looking inward, the less likely they will ever change, and actually, they will usually become more and more dependent as time passes.
There is no way to know for sure, but my belief is that at least 80% or more (maybe much more) of this population are a part of the collective herd that has little or no ability to think on their own concerning matters of importance. I do realize that this is a startling conclusion to reach, but given all that has happened to date, how can this be doubted?
There is no way to awaken the herd by force, by political means, by demands, or even by persuasion. Each individual has to delve inside himself, and awaken his own spirit so he can find the courage to improve self instead of relying on the crowd. This will lead to seeking the truth, and that is the first step toward independence. This is not an easy task, because to trust self requires personal responsibility for every thought, every action, and every life situation. When this occurs, all fear disappears, and the minds eye opens to bright light instead of darkness.
Maybe some reflection is in order. There is no real security in the group, there is only consensus, confusion, and emptiness. The next time you find yourself asking others for a solution to your problems, or asking questions about your own freedom and how to attain it; stop, close your eyes, and seek your answers from within. When those answers come, trust them, and escape from the hellish and barren existence that is the non-thinking collective horde.
“It was when I stopped searching for home within others and lifted the foundations of home within myself I found there were no roots more intimate than those between a mind and body that have decided to be whole.”

Great comments TellsTruth. I've been investigating a practical solution for years now and still piecing together a cogent explanation.
Suffice it to say, security ranks light years ahead of freedom. And people feel more secure when they find large groups that share common agreement on things. That said "common agreement" is skillfully manufactured by a group that doesn't have their best interests in mind does not "register" in their minds. Herein lies the rub.
And it is this skillfully manufactured "mainstream culture" that lies at the ultimate root of the problem as it is ultimately designed to prevent us from self-actualization, from realizing our true nature.
Which leads to the ultimate question; perhaps we agreed to participate in such a "reality" and we're now active participants in facilitating a "Great Awakening" from said manufactured reality.
WOW! We are on the same wavelength.
Nice to find another like-minded anon here!
Re: people find security in groups, I grew up in a religious family, went to a religious school, and participated in various groups/teams within that religion, and found the opposite of security. When indoctrination is laid out in front of little kids, and then rampant hypocrisy takes place, little kids immediately realize it. When people profess to be holier than thou, and are actually liars and cheats, are mean and vicious, little kids see through it. This twisted and toxic religion was actually a gift to me. Big bureaucracies and large groups that purport to believe in Good Things never do. There are always self-serving assholes and liars in charge. Six year old me stopped buying into being told what to believe and how to think and never looked back. I’ve never had the displeasure of being thrust into a large organization (went to a huge university) that wasn’t totally full of shit. Integrity is never found in large groups, only in individuals. Witnessing all these disastrous groups is why I didn’t get jabbed. It’s why I have no allegiance to large groups or their edicts. That’s the gift in action.
You are one of the few, like myself and many here at GA. We're wired differently. We value individual, intellectual sovereignty over "fitting in". We're still a small minority. But our ranks are growing daily!
I can relate to this SO MUCH. I too stopped going to church at an early age and decided instead to strengthen my own personal connection to the divine instead of handing that responsibility over to someone else. When I reached the age to vote, I registered as unaffiliated because I didn't feel either side rang true for me. I feel I've always been a reluctant rebel.
So even though I'm definitely of your same mindset, these last couple of years have been particularly difficult on me because this realization is being ramped up 100-fold. No more is there even a remotely artificial feeling of safety in numbers or a sense of belonging without fully drinking whatever flavor of Kool-Aid you're handed. But it feels like I'm the only one who sees that, and it's frustrating as hell. It's the vicious circle of wanting to belong, clearing not belonging, and then being upset because I don't have a good size group that doesn't belong with me. LOL! Now, that's some heavy self-awareness. It's not pleasant, but growth rarely is, right?
This is exactly it. Welcome to the "Great Awakening" my friend. We're all slowly being forced to drop our indoctrinated "Comfortable lies" and replacing them with temporarily "Uncomfortable truths"..which will eventually turn into "Comfortable Truths". It's a journey we all must take, willingly, or kicking and screaming...haha :)
I get what you're saying but can't agree with all of it. Like you I never cared if I fit in - I always did my own thing. Never bought into any of the stupid fads growing up. I don't have twitter/facebook. I have friends that in some cases I haven't seen or even talked to in years but many times I've visited or called them and it was just like we had kept in touch all that time. I value privacy and don't like large groups.
That said, I do have allegiance to a few organizations. I'm a vet, and my allegiance to my country, military, and oath will never change - despite the fact that morons are running things. I joined the American Legion. At this point I have maybe been to 2 meetings in 2 years - they're not my thing - but I like the services they provide to others so I continue to pay membership dues, and I use their range and fishing lake. The Legion sent an honor guard to my Dad's funeral (he was a Vietnam vet) during my first enlistment in the military years ago. I never forgot those guys. That's just one of the things they do and they love doing it. Other than those I don't belong to any other organizations or groups.
I don't belong to those to fit in, but part of it is pride in my service and part is just wanting to make sure it doesn't go away. If it ever came to it and the post here was going to fold I would probably step in to help keep them afloat, and when they were secure I would step back into the shadows.
Sounds like most of us here on GA doesn't it?
I'm not sure what you mean?
I think he meant starseed. Could be wrong.
https://greatawakening.win/p/15HIFFxJ6v/i-see-were-talking-about-starsee/
Ahh, well, some of that resonates, not all. There's a much simpler way to look at things but not a viable topic of convo here on GA.
Same, some, not all. It's interesting. I was impressed it was posted here
Yeah, I'm kind of surprised that post didn't get downvoted into oblivion. 285 to 13, quite a surprise. Maybe more are ready for similar info than I realize. :)
It's the "label" that turns off many and I can understand why. So many are trapped in their GroupThink and have accepted broad-stroke criticisms of anything that doesn't perfectly match up with their group. It's an intractable situation and an individual journey anyway.
WWG1WGA means wayyyyyyy more than realizing all our "trusted" institutions are hopelessly corrupted. This is just the start as I assume you're aware.
Yes, I feel it. We're on the brink of a huge change for humanity. It feels like empaths have been gathered here to help prepare each other and this world for what is coming. The normies around me have zero intuition that anything is changing. Zero. I'm ready to help them through. God bless us all!! 🙏
I understand what you're saying but I don't look at it quite like that, but that's one way to think about it.
I guess you could say my outlook is just simpler than this, not that there's anything wrong with that outlook.
I believe "reality", as we currently know it, rests on a wide spectrum of light. Which part of reality you find yourself in depends on the amount of light you hold and emit.
Are there what have been called Indigo kids and star children incarnating now to raise the light quotient in this reality? I believe this to be the case. But I don't subscribe to the "alien" idea. Nor do I subscribe to the "we're the only one's here" nor "humans are the pinnacle of creation" ideas either. But I do understand how and why many people believe in all of these different ideas. I just don't see things in this way.
Do you follow what I'm saying?
Well if one thing is for certain from my perspective, beliefs power our reality. I expect hundreds and thousands of humanity's "Logical beliefs" to come crashing down over the course of the next decade or so....because a huge amount of them are all based on lies and deceptions. A momentum is building that can't be stopped now.
As to "Star Children", it's one way of looking at things. I think we can agree that such an idea is way outside the "Overton Window" of popular beliefs at this stage. But as the foundational beliefs of our reality continue breaking down more and more, at some point we'll all start referencing our gut/intuition more and more to decide on what's true or not. One thing is for certain, the cabal has meddled with everything in this reality which means we're awash in an untold sea of lies!
100% agreed. It's all fake, unreal. Duality.

There are only two directions — slavery and liberty.
The false Left-Right paradigm redefines these directions to keep us walking in circles with no real progress.
The true Left-Right shines a light on our path so we can pursue liberty through truth and love. The path to liberty is the rightward direction — not the illusory right of endless wars and dogmas — but brings individual empowerment by our connection to the true Kingdom of God.
After the cabal is destroyed there will be no parties. Parties just divide, that was their goal.

I was awakened by learning new information and hearing logical arguments from others.
There is no solution that can awaken a people.
Begins explaining the solution that can awaken people
On a forum about a solution to awaken people.
I just don’t buy this.
There is no way to “force” anyone to do anything, but planting seeds is extremely effective. I know because I’ve done it over and over again.
Deep down, all the sleepers know something is terribly wrong. It’s fear that stops them from awakening. And also, they just can’t believe their government is capable of such travesty. Disbelief and fear... powerful hurdles to overcome but not impossible.
I disagree with some of this author's contentions, namely...
Sometimes waking up does require assistance from others as we're seeing from various interpersonal relationships and even as the FNM, presumably under at least some WH influence, starts to dribble out the truth. We are watching more people awaken and it IS due to the concerted efforts of others.
The contention that there's no leader that can reawaken the herd, if taken literally, may have merit, but that doesn't mean that a good leader - like Trump - can't influence a great number of people. People like Donald Trump have sparked many people back to life and caused them to reassess their beliefs and truly think about reality and truth. It's like a HS teacher or college professor with a sort of buoyant personality who inspires his/her students and lights a fire within them to seek to learn more and make a difference. We are connected to other humans. We do influence and inspire our fellow humans. We can effect change. Not everyone, but those who are deep-down thinking there's something not right with the world.
I think this author boils down the sheep into one monochromatic lump of humanity with no individual life experience, no individual life and societal circumstances. He does it with the population at large as well as with political parties. Does he not see that, while we may choose "a party" that doesn't mean we agree with everything the general consensus within the party believes? Republicans are a shining example of that with our revulsion towards the RINOs. Debates among party members which happen as a matter of course are another example. The Walkaway movement, started by a self-professed (former) rabid liberal show loads of people from the left being awakened with the right influence.
And then, of course, we have the obligatory claim that anyone who questions him is an idiot. ("... I am cursed for being too critical and ‘negative.’ Questions and comments such as these are a sure sign of an unconscious mind, a non-thinking person, and a proud member of the unawakened herd of sheep. ..."). Yeah - no. This is just more bleating of bravado from self-proclaimed (sic) 'geniuses' who seem to think they have the proverbial "answer to life".
I've said many times that the sheep don't think anymore, but also that they often have low self-esteem, have been brainwashed to be fearful and only trust the FNM. Infiltrating the FNM to start waking them up IS other people assisting the sheep with their awakening. Getting the truth to them IS influencing them. It's not easy, true, but I certainly don't think eighty percent of humanity is beyond saving as this myopic opinion piece claims. This is just mho, of course, and you wouldn't be deemed as having "an unconscious mind" or being "a non-thinking person" if your opinion differs.
Here in the fly-over country, we have a determined group of like-minded university professors who have their Democrat candidate signs out on their lawns. We have already suffered through two terms of a democrat-liberal governor yet here we are again getting the liberal agenda pushed down our throats. I really want to tear their signs down.
Take pictures and mail them to them in a few years as a reminder of how stupid they were. Haunt them. LOL!
I like it!
