Bible says to remove the beam AKA 2X4 from one's eye before removing the mote AKA splinter from someone else's eye.
Matthew 7:1-5
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
However, many take Matthew 7 out of context and claim Christians are not supposed to judge others, as if everything after Matthew 7:1 is irrelevant.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Based on the above verse, you can't judge a homosexual for committing sexual sins any differently than you judge a heterosexual for committing sexual sins.
And if you're committing adultery or having sex outside of marriage yourself, you better repent of your own sins and quit committing them yourself before you even think of saying anything about somebody else. Don't be a hypocrite.
By the way, when you call somebody self righteous trash and claim they are overstepping their place for calling out sin, you're making the assumption that person is still a slave to sin and has not confessed and repented of their sins.
How do you know they haven't removed the beam from their eyes already?
Thieves and murderers had existed throughout history too. Sinners are sinners. But that's not really the point you're attempting to make, is it...
And someone being gay isn't killing you or stealing your property.
Incredibly shitty analog and you should be ashamed.
Strawman.
Also, incredibly shitty assertion of what you think sin is and you should be ashamed.
Man can sin against himself. Man can sin against his neighbor. Man can sin against God.
Different levels of punishment sure, but nevertheless still sin, and as several here have asserted "all sins are equal" are they not?
All sins are equal in the face of God. God is who judges, God is who you repent to.
Unless someone makes a move against you, it is not an equal sin.
You are over stepping your place, and you are a sinner too. Never forget that, self righteous trash.
I would also recommend you learn what a straw man is, but hey. You couldn't learn the Bible or the Constitution. How could you know what that is?
I see here we have another bot incapable of avoiding self-contradiction.
Overstepping, like overstepping by demanding that people not (in your mind) overstep?
Calling people trash isn't very respectful.
