From article:
Woke retailer Target has recently suffered a significant decline in profits as it pushes to normalize the transgender lifestyle. On Wednesday, Target revealed that its second-quarter profits for this year have fallen nearly 90% after being forced to slash the prices on unwanted merchandise.
The companyās second-quarter net income was only $183 million, after earning $1.82 billion in the same period last year.
In the first quarter, Target also saw its profits fall by 52%.
Since introducing its transgender agenda in 2016, Target has been angering many of its previous customers and losing business. They began their woke initiative with a policy that allowed transgender-identifying males to use the womenās dressing rooms and bathrooms.
I stopped going there when covid was first a thing and they were tyrannical about the masks and social distancing. It was the most off-putting, obnoxious, commie BS of all the stores Iād ever been to. Serves them right. Hey Target, āmember what happened to Kmart and Ames? Sears? How about Daytonās? Ooooh, thatās a sensitive one. Even Walmart foot traffic is down. Be afraid. Nobody wants to shop at China.
They were all warned about what going ALL IN on covid was going to cost them.
I never experienced the mask pushing at my local Target, Eastern North Carolina. TJ Maxx were the mask & cart cleaning police. I got crazy lady looks & I enjoyed every minute. TJ employees: ādo you need a mask?ā Me: āNo, Iām good.ā I also demanded a non sanitized cart. Probably helped me not get sick. I could feel the stares behind my backš When Target first opened for many years I shopped several times a week. I havenāt been in one in about a year. Speaking of China: I like Norwex laundry detergent. Itās a Swedish company. I couldnāt find it after the plandimic shut everything down. Now itās almost doubled in price so I havenāt ordered in almost two years. I found some listings on eBay, probably old. After researching today I read itās made in China now because Sweden canāt keep the supply up. Iām not surprised!
You have some kohones! I love it! Iāve never heard of that detergent. I get Arm and Hammer usually, seems great.
š¤£ Iāve always been a rebel. My hubby is the opposite of me. Itās made an interesting life. The number one song I was born was āBorn To Be Wildā. I used Tide most of my adult life. Over many years I have become extremely sensitive to fragrance smells and many toxic ingredients in body and cleaning products. It takes a while to get used to the change. Now I know my laundry doesnāt need an artificial smell to be clean. Itās so refreshing to smell clean laundry. Reminds me of drying it outside.
We buy Ecos from Costco. Alot of allergies and sensitive skin in our house and it serves us all well
Tide changed their formulation for the fragrance, likely because of access to certain ingredients being difficult or too expensive.
In Illinois they tried to ban reusable shopping bags claiming they spread disease, the grocery stores stopped arguing with me when I pointed out "you're disinfecting the cart after I use it no matter what so what difference does it make? Or are you lying and really just misting them with plain water?"
My preference for reusable bags is hardly environmental, it's because as they're way more durable and higher capacity than disposable bags which keep getting made of thinner plastic and end up tearing as I'm carrying stuff into the house from the car.
In Hawaii plastic bags shopping bags are banned. Itās to protect the ocean. I think itās a great idea in general. Iām so sick of plastic. Iām old enough to remember glass bottles, turning in the bottles for money, paper bags & boxes used at checkout. I love canvas bags. Also Publix grocery stores have a great insulated bag, Its made with fabric on outside instead of plastic. I still have my grandmotherās canning jars & ones I collected. I donāt let them go! I love using them for food storage.
Iām not a hippie tree hugger & donāt get into āsaving the environmentā. I use what I like for convenience or just because itās a good product. I respect our world and donāt do things to harm the environment. However, I firmly believe the world canāt be saved. God says this world will be destroyed so as a Christian I donāt buy into saving the planet. Also itās a big hoax! (If you are here you know that.)
Ugh now I have to try Norwex lol
Norwex had great products when they were made in Sweden. Iām not so sure about the products being made in China. Thereās many good natural laundry detergent brands with minimal ingredients. Currently Iām using Dirty Labs, itās a good product. Rockin Green and Mollyās suds are good. Iām trying to avoid sulfates. Many companies that are considered green have ingredients that arenāt safe or either they have ingredients that cause skin irritation. Research Green Washing companies. Many promote they are green, toxic free or environmentally safe. Iām not a tree hugger, Iām more concerned with what irritates my skin.
My youngest (17) has eczema so Iām on the lookout for a good body soap that doesnāt irritate
Target has been going into the crapper for years. I think going full on woke was some really bad marketing advice given to pull their asteroids up out of slumping sales to begin with. I drew the line when they decided to institute woke bathroom policies that put women and girls in danger from pervs. I canceled my store credit card - not that I really used it much anyway because I was never really impressed with their garbage offerings. I quit going there because I didn't want to have to do a beat down for someone creeping on a woman or a girl. Considering women do the majority of shopping at those places, it was a real stupid move. I guess they voted with their feet and their dollars over whether they wanted to share a bathroom with men. I am bothered by the fact that women and girls are losing their safe spaces.
Oh wow, thatās a great point. So much news lately and we donāt talk about that enough!
