When the Donbass is part of Russia and the first civilian get killed it will be total war against Ukraine and they deserve it. If Nato or the West interferes it will be China covering their backs. You probably need more than popcorn for this ride.
Idky someone couldn't propose leaving all of Ukraine as sovereign territory, just removing 100% of govt and replacing with interim leadership until a non-controlled,native citizen bunch could be installed. As it stands now, you're still going to have the rotten crowd in Ukraine to continue their bad stuff (remember the bio labs and experiments on innocents), even if Putin can pull off this annexation ion without (hopefully) a multi-front war.
And that is what Russia is going to do. Actions speak louder than words. Zelensky will never abdicate.
