We're nearing the end of the Old Testament in our daily Bible read and starting the New Testament next week or so. I am so excited! I have found that I like the minor prophets' writings a lot. I'm going to keep reading with this plan, even after I finish this year.
I start my day with a cup of tea and 1 chapter of Old, 1 Psalm / Proverbs / Ecclesiastes / Song of Songs, 1 New Testament + Bagster's Daily Light (morning and evening). Sets me up for the day. Dr Randall Smith (YT) teaching on these is excellent, great insights.
That's a great way to start your day!!
That is so awesome. I’ve read through the Bible three times. Every time I find something new. Today I’m going to my Womens Bible Study… We are starting in the book of revelation chapter 1! It’s going to be lit. These women do a deep dive on the Bible, it’s not tea and scones!
This is my first time through. I did miss a few weeks' worth when I was sick earlier in the year. I'll get it the next go. :)
It doesn’t matter what time frame you read through it, all that matters is that you do read through it. Yes a year is a good amount of time to do so, but don’t beat yourself up if you miss a little here and there. Because guess what… When she read through, you’re going to start over again, it’ll be glorious. I am so proud of you! You’re doing gods work, he is pleased!
My SS class is reading the minor prophets. We're just finishing Amos.
I hope you're enjoying it! My pastor teaches a Wednesday class and we go over our daily reading plan and he has cleared up a lot for me.
Great pastors are a true blessing.
He is a great guy and since he's near my age, I can relate to him a lot.
