Of course they are. I know moms that won’t go eat at a restaurant that stayed open during covid in SoCal but they traveled to Florida during that time frame and enjoyed how open it was. They love the CA authoritarianism. It took me Covid to see these people as they are. Compete morons.
Ugh... What's with people? I have a crazy cousin who was going on and on about "people shouldn't be traveling because COVID!" Then proceeded to take multiple vacations... Disney world, Mexico, etc. It's okay because apparently her own rules don't apply to her. 🙄
How could I forget?! (But the logo reminds me more of squidward than punisher. No offense. I like CT, was actually out Chester way last year. But I didn't know they had a Bee in Newtown.)
Truly an esteemed journalist Genevieve - I mean JENavieve is. I mean illustrious. Her penmanship deserves numerous accolades. Absolutely genius. I would listen to every word she says.
I tried that church one Sunday. It was incredible political compared to other churches in the area. I'm not complaining about it, but it was noticeably different. More power to them, I wish them well.
I enjoy their Celebrate America production, I really like them standing up up for rights, speaking about civics/politics, but I am no longer Pentecostal and just can’t stand that style of theologically watered down preaching. They do a lot for the community and I have known some of the staff for many years, so I’m kind of in the same boat, more power to ‘em.
The Gospel and Christian worldview is 100% political. Anyone that says different doesn't understand politics or Christianity.
The secular worldview is also political and religious. They have their gods they submit to, worship, and their rituals. Disagreeing with those will get you treated as a heretic.
There is no neutrality. It's a myth. If you're on the fence about Christianity you'll find out one day the fence belongs to Satan.
The article mentions that the church is hosting political figures for events at the church and says this is blatant intertwining or church and state.
Funny, I don't remember any article about the "Rev" Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton mixing politics with religion or about how almost every black church in the US infuses politics almost daily.
There is nothing in the constitution or any founding documents about separation of church and state. It's mentioned in a letter. The context? The government in England and parts of Europe had official religions and persecuted those that rejected it or even disagreed on certain issues that are very much up for disagreement. The founders wanted freedom of religion and practice thereof without federal interference. This did NOT mean you couldn't base laws and rights off of religious principles because they very much did just that. The constitution, the bill of rights, and even the American Revolution were based off of Biblical principles.
Oh and states COULD have official religions and many did. Even the last state Hawaii had in their constitution "no law shall be enacted which is at variance with the word of the Lord Jehovah..." before the US government overthrew their sovereign nation (which we later apologized for)and it still remains.
So when some lib parrots out "Separation of church and state!" ask them if that's a foundational principle in the constitution. They will almost always say yes. Then make a bet and take their money while teaching them something.
I was just going by the 'official' narrative about church and state and how the Commies love to go after conservative churches using that nonsense when it suits them.
Many of the original colonies required someone to be of a certain faith to hold office and that continued after the US was formed.
Very interesting! I may just have to use some of this info for the Nextdoor fight over this article, where the libtards keep screaming for “separation of church and state”. Fortunately, the CA patriots are far outweighing the libtards.

Clearly a Democrat.
🤣 for sure
Is she a politician?
Hahaha! Sounds like it, but no. She was a stay at home mom kind of, but also did some "side hustles" for extra money. 🙄
side hustles with some side pieces?
Hahaha! No. Usually the multilevel marketing pyramid schemes.
oh, bonzi buddy scheme.
Well they wore a mask so everyone was safe as can be!

No, the Sacramento Bee is a real newspaper. As much as any of them are real, anyway. The somewhat nearby Fresno Bee is real, too.
Newspaper is over 150 years old. They were one of the largest papers and went downhill after it was sold in 2006 to the liberal McClatchy Company.
Don't forget the Newtown Bee.

Hard to tell the difference, these days.
Democrats
Hard to tell the difference, anymore. Good grief!
Fair. More indoctrination than education, methinks.
Of all the Bees, only the Babylon Bee got it right:

That is my church. They often talk about about the church. The pastor is all over it though.

I am well aware of that fact.
I was just going by the 'official' narrative about church and state and how the Commies love to go after conservative churches using that nonsense when it suits them.

Yep. The scream SPEREATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!"
Until a church tries to stay open during COVID then they change their tune real quick.
