I'm struggling.
And to cope, I (ab)use substances, like alcohol, weed and other stuff.
I want to get out, but I'm not ready to accept Jesus as my saviour, because I... well... It's complicated.
I DO accept Jesus as what he is, and that he saves People, a lot.
But...
For the moment, I won't be able to respond to comments in this post, because I'm heading to bed, pretty wasted.
I don't know where this thread will take me, but here we go.
Please, I'd rather not be encouraged to put all my faith in Jesus etc.
I do believe in the Creator, though...
Btw, GAW community...
Thank you for being here the last couple of years.
Edit: Wow, thank you for all your support! Iโll read all of it and will certainly get back to you all. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
Cut out all refined sugar from your life. Its empty calories, spikes inflammation and our bodies donโt need it. Donโt try to do everything all at once, just one thing at a time. The sugar addiction is hard to break but once you have, and your body has adjusted, kicking the booze will be easier.
Best of luck!
All carbs break down the same in the end, refined sugar just does it more quickly.
OP:
Cutting down (or stopping altogether) huge density, fast digesting sugars (that contain a lot of chemicals) like high/fructose corn syrups will automatically do a solid. Bonus points is that when you do treat yourself to it, it will taste even better after you haven't had the poison for a long time.
Pop multiple times a day as an every day part of life is inherently a major thing.
The primary difference between refined sugars and sugars you get from other foods is that refined sugars are empty carbs and calories, so there is no nutritional value. But something something you can exploit your metabolism by using refined sugars something something explained it a lot and I'm dangerously close to earning "that keto guy" flair.
Getting more exercise and trying keto (if you're diabetic or prediabetic there are potential risks so consult your general
depopulation injection centerphysician first) can do a lot for you, even if you just try keto for a month or two. Carbs are trash for your body in general, and you might find yourself more energetic, more alert, focused and more positive.I, myself, am doing a cleanse in a few days and then going back to keto for a while because it's a stark difference on a high carb lifestyle. Everyone should try a proper zero carb diet at least for a short time in their lives.
I started Keto a couple of months ago and have lost weight and, generally, feel much better. And the food you can make without carbs is outstanding. I never get hungry.
i have seen multiple keto mentions here lately.. whats the buzz about?
Watch this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpnOArocDtA). Then start looking into the Glycemic Index (GI) of various foods, which is the tendency of the food to boost insulin levels, along with the Glycemic Load (which is the correlation between the GI of the food and the size of the serving you are contemplating. There are apps that can figure this out for you. When go down this Keto path, you will be amazed at the types of food that are good for you (and taste good), and be shocked (not really) about how our betters have been lying to us all these years about health and what we should eat. Bottom line, a Keto diet will help you lose weight and feel better for the rest of your (longer) life.
Did you mean to reply to me?
Oooooohhhh...........I wouldn't have thought of that.
I see that now, thanks :)
I think he was expanding on what you already said. 'cut the junkfood' = his whole post.
