Mark Zuckerberg's "META" Is a Flop - After Billions Spent - Less than 200,000 Users on its Virtual Reality Universe
Mark Zuckerberg’s “Meta” initiative is a flop. After billions spent, less than 200,000 users have signed up on its virtual reality universe. TGP reported on “Meta” when it first came out. It wasn’t clear if this was a huge mistake or a foreboding action...
200K bots, just to fake the subscriber base.
While they are not out "early voting."
It's the nascent stages of their Transhuman Objectives.
It is fake and gay.
"Meta" takes fake and gay to a whole new level.
I seen a mews post somewhere claiming they only had 30 regular users😆😅
I seen that too.
Did they really think they could sell a Nintendo 64 graphics system to a generation that will burn their parents house down over 1 dead pixel playing their 4k games?
They'll soon be back, and in greater numbers.
Amazing thing: It turned out that people like to walk around in the real world and actually talk to other people. Through the air.
Turns out people actually enjoy Real Life Experiences and what the wonderful Earth has to offer. I just don't get this whole thing. It's absurd. In fact, I don't get video games either. They're for children. If that's your idea of entertainment, you're a very shallow person.
While people do enjoy the outdoors, being an adult video gamer, it's a different story. (My folks didn't get it either).
Video games to my generation (born in the '80s, grew up in the '90s) This was the next generations entertainment and social interaction, not just in their communities, but the more games became available to play on, now we had a world of people we could talk to that shared our interests.
Many a health study has shown playing video games improves problem solving skills, time and resource management, cooperation, competitive spirit, and creativity. Those who grew up with videos games, a decent amount of them went to learn how to make them, not just with the big corps, but became indies and modifiers as well. It requires coding and design skills, and again, unless solo, communication with team members to make something new or in addition to what they already enjoy.
YES! If not moderated properly, it can become unhealthy. But any well rounded individual knows the difference between fiction and reality. Of course it's not good to let the TV, whether with movies, TV shows, or video games, babysit the children.
Then again, maybe I was just lucky that I had parents who allowed me to play time limited but healthy doses, and then also encouraged me to play outside.
And games aren't just for 'children'. If they were, everything would be rated EC, E, or T from the ESRB, there would be no M rated games.
That's like saying Animation is for children, when we know it's not.
The difference is now they're trying to trap everyone into some "Ready Player One" type shit as they restrict their ability to move. Take a look at the world of that book/film and how the backstory mentions the catalyst being a worldwide pandemic that lead to social distancing....blah blah blah. Totally narrative seeding given how the book was written over a decade ago and the movie came out a couple years before COVID.
Yeah, I'm familiar with both the book and movie. Though the moral of the ending of the book is not letting corpo-capitalism take over and remember to live outside the matrix, I mean Oasis.
Steven Spielberg is a pedophile.
Anecdotal but certainly not unique. Video games have removed children from physical activity and made them sedentary beings.
No. This is the same "video games cause violence" argument. They don't. Don't over indulge in them, and balance out your day and activities, especially for children with other physical and social interactions too.
Don't make video games the monster the left is trying to control for their own benefit and narrative. It's more than anecdotal.
You know what I see in New York and chicago? I see GTA San Andreas. I see violence without consequence. Don't tell me video games don't influence anything. That is absolute bullshit.
Let me guess, Harvard and Yale did the studies on video games and prove they're safe.
New York and Chicago were peaceful utopias until those gal’dern video games came around.
You stupid idiot. Soros DA's have turned cities into war zones where police are being shot, joggers are emptying stores, and violent felons are being released in a revolving door Judiciary system. Wake the f******, you stupid f***.
An entire generation of joggers have been programmed by not only the MSM and the government, but by video games and sports ball.
Might need to calibrate your sarcasm meter and take a chill pill. Those places didn’t become violent, crime-ridden democrat crapholes because of video games.
You know what. So yourself a favor and step away from the keyboard. You need a break.
You know, man was violent and despicable to get other before video games. Before that, movies and TV was too violent.... and before that, we got book burnings.
There are far worst things going on in our society to blame collective than one medium of entertainment.
Why are you making a bad argument? I'd expect that kind of reaction from reddit.
Sitting in a chair most of the hours of the day keeps children and adults from physical activity. School and work are more forceful causes of sedentary habits. Video games are optional.
I mean.... you're not wrong. Lol.
You think everyone that works in this country sits at a desk? You think children can learn without reading? Pretty stupid comments bro.
Where did I make that claim?
Why did respond with a straw man and ad hominen instead of trying to understand my point?
I was taught that “assuming charity” on the part of the other person is what leads to good discussions. You just assumed that I’m stupid and assumed your interpretation of what I said is what I meant to say. It’s sad to see that behavior from a veteran user here.
Same sentiment
lol you're an ass
A fair amount of games that done have voice acting in it still forces kids and adults to not only read but comprehend what they are reading.
Bro, play your stupid video games. I don't give a fuck. As far as I'm concerned you're a dork wasting his time pretending that he's part of something.
Why are you attacking people?
I enjoy a variety of games, for a variety of reasons. Art, story, strategy mostly. And I can enjoy them because I know how much work goes into them and think about the writing, the programming, the time it takes to make 3D models. It's a major industry and creative outlet in the world today. Are you a shallow person who looks at painting and sculpture? Do you waste a lot of time trying to figure out what is going on in the world around you? Do story plots bore you because your prescience already knows all the answers? Maybe you are the shallow person, making blanket assertions about things you ignored and people you don't know.
Respect.
Nope. There's an entire industry that billions of dollars are now committed to so people can sit on their asses and pretend.
Seriously. Step away from the keyboard and take a break.
I understand why people hate Meta. However, video games are more akin to movies nowadays. They're less "games" and more "narrative experiences". It's like comparing kids movies to movies that are rated R, they're very different things. Just my two cents
By and large, video games have made children fat, lazy and shut out from important real world experiences. Playing a video game for an hour or so once in a while it's not damaging, but dedicating day after day of 6 to 8 hours of gaming experience is harmful.
You're talking about addiction then, not the average video game player. I agree, some people get addicted to video games, just like some people get addicted to being online. But it is not "by and large" at all. Most video game players are not addicts, they play casually (like with any other form of media). It's a way to decompress at the end of the day
It's for you, it's not for me. Say what you want, but video games have changed the way children develop, the way they exercise, and the things they experience.
I know, I’m just saying that that’s an outdated 1970s stereotype of what video games are. You might as well be yelling at kids to “stop playing on your lawn” if you think the world is still like that.
Video games did not exist in the 1970s.
Yes actually, they did. And angry soccer-moms everywhere had the same archaic views.
There were DOS games, some of which managed a little graphics, and there were arcade games, which in my opinion were more addicting with less to offer in the way of any creativity. And of course there were all the other games that ever existed, like bridge and poker. You can't say people weren't addicted to them.
Problem is your labeling and disparaging an entire industry and its user base off the minority of cases. Of course playing video games in excess of 6+ hours daily is bad! So is any consumption of entertainment!
It's why I said before about balancing out one's activities, but you either didn't understand what I said, ignored it, or jumped the shark ready to attack anyone who defended video games.
Those here who have been supportive of video game have attempted to be civil with you. You're the one getting aggressive and calling others stupid and names.
Maybe video games aren't the problem here with societal issues. Perhaps people like you are the ones that help perpetuate it.
Step back. Breathe. Take a break.
