My stance was always very "libertarian" (I know, fuck off) in the sense that consenting adults can do whatever the fuck they want no matter how mentally ill and stupid it may be. Going after kids whose brains are still half-baked play-doh is a bridge too far.

Many libertarians believe in age of consent laws. Regarding the adults who consent to deviance, what is your current non-libertarian policy for dealing with them? Put a legal ban on adult deviance? Interesting in theory but I’m not sure it’s feasible in practice.
That's just it. I was very libertarian with regards to adults being free to do what they want as long as others were not harmed. And when my more conservative friends warned that giving in to one thing will lead to taking liberties no sane person would even consider, I didn't listen. I was horribly wrong, but in my defense I didn't think for a second it would lead to what we're seeing now.
