Seriously? It's the title of a very famous book by George Orwell, written in the 40s to fictionalize (?) what life might be like in 1984. Much of what he wrote about is happening today.
I honestly wasn't sure if you were joking / being sarcastic or not, so I took a chance and answered, lol. There are tons of cultural references to '1984' and now that you know what it is, you'll probably start noticing them more. Tbh, I've never even read the book, I just know what it's about because I've heard so many references to it.
Yeah, living on a farm is probably the life. I think I'd love it, though I've hardly even been close to a farm. There are things far more important than others, but you're here, which means you do care about our country, politics and so forth. So you might actually like that book because in some ways, it seems to have proved to be prophetic.
Brave New World is another good dystopia book. I feel like we are living in Brave New World, 1984 with a little Atlas Shrugged. Haven’t read the Giver but I’ve been told people see comparisons there as well. Scary how much it was predicted in those books, Brave New World it’s the drugs and technology

Thanks!I grew up on a farm didn’t like reading to much working, suited me better
It's a good read. Definitely brings you up on the terminology, a lot of which has become commonplace. And it's a short book.
You should also read Animal Farm then too, another good one.
