Sorry folks, but this is overly optimistic. How often have events unfolded this way? We were saying the same thing about Myanmar two years ago.
Here is some ugly reality: Things must get worse before arrests happen. Think precipice. Waking up the normies and libs to avoid civil war was always the main objective. These people will only wake up when they're shocked and scared.
There will be a natural progression to the scare event(s). We're not there yet.
I see a lot of wisdom in your words, but, this is a very America-centric reply. We have time. Brazil does not. Time for some realpolitik in reply. Brazil is 100% painted into a corner with respect to this. Lula takes over, takes command of the military, it won't happen literally AT ALL. Unless he's a Biden for them? Brazil already knows. Argentina, already at the precipice and beyond, with Venezuela far beyond anyone's precipice whatsoever. They're eating cats over there (shudder). The precipice is without question looming in S. America.
The BRICS+ are going to step in and demand Brazil get their act together in THIS cycle or the economic alliance literally won't work. Brazil is ~86% the size of the USA. It HAS to engage a growth cycle if this alliance is ever going to believably propel itself past this current bank elite empire. It's now or never. IT HAS TO END HERE.
I have a good friend in Brazil that I just heard from yesterday. What he said lines up with your analysis. They know that will go the way of Venezuela if something doesn't change. They know the election was stolen and the ONLY place they can turn is to their military. The courts were stacked by Lula and are corrupt. The question now is whether the military is willing to step in and take over again. Tensions are very high and more people are taking to the streets - something the media is blocking coverage of. They also know that this incoming communist leaning government will now really start ramping up persecution of churches. My friend in Brazil is a pastor. Pray for our Brazilian brothers and sisters. You are right. It is do or die for them and they know it.
As of the latest: It does not appear as though the military is going to involve themselves despite the wishes of many Brazilians. They literally have no recourse except the military given how corrupt the courts are. Bolsonaro himself has said very little - I think exploring his options and possibly maneuvering to fight another day. As far as the economy, Brazil was ahead of the curve in raising interest rates early in dealing with the money printing policies that every nation fell into dealing with the plandemic and lockdowns. They are not as exposed globally as a total of their GDP as other nations - that may help them with volatile supply chains. Most of their energy comes from hydroelectric, so they are also less affected by global fossil fuel fluctuations. There is a center right majority in the legislature of Brazil that may keep the left leaning Lula in check. Lula has many unsavory sorts he owes bigly for helping him steal his office that will all want their payback. We shall see. Pray for them, pray for us all.
Interesting. What part of the country? The Northeast? Bolsonaro has been hammered since he took office. There have also been a couple of assassination attempts as well. The stakes are high everywhere for anyone that is out of step with the agenda.
It's entirely possible -- maybe likely -- the Brazilian military intervenes and preserves the BRICS strategy, I just don't see it immediately impacting our poltiical landscape. It may plant seeds of suspicions in some normies, which is progress, but also keep in mind most Americans have yet to connect Dominion machines with Venezuela. These same people don't question a government telling them that voting by mail is just as secure as voting in person. This is what I mean when I say they'll have to be shocked awake.
