The Russian Army would like to emphasize that this is NOT a trap.
It's not simply a ruse to draw Ukrainian troops into an area which has recently been depopulated of civilians, and in which the Ukrainian troops will have a river and swampy land separating them from the Russian troops... while they are sitting ducks for Russian artillery.
Nope. It's totally not a trap.
Russia's Army just feels like abandoning a major Ukrainian city and giving up 2,000 square miles of land... out of the goodness of their hearts.
Russian gifting a city without residents, power or running water. INB4: but there's a river, so you can take a bucket.
Winter is coming: oh and the toilet won't flush, and all the bridges are blown, so you can't get supplies. Also the Brits/CYA/Khazars may blow the dam and flood the southern end of the city.
Not sure if the Ukies will rush in triumphantly, TBH
strange because they have been mustering troops for several weeks now waiting for the ground to freeze to be able to advance. I expect this is a pump fake. You wouldn't bring up 10s of thousands of troops just to then decide to retreat.
Well that article didn't seem at all slanted! /s
Hmm!

Well, I read somewhere that Russia has agreed to take control of the land up to the river that borders Kiev and everything east of that is theirs.
I think Poland will grab a bit on the west and Ukraine will be cut down to the middle portion.
You should find it if you search.
As I understand it, the Russian plan is to control ONLY the area of Ukraine to the east of the Dnieper River.

A beaten army that took 2000 square miles of territory.... riiiiight.

Could well be.
