My guess is that it was an excuse.
I suspected my ex was cheating and I found out he was. It took a lot of digging and threats to his best friend (who was also cheating and I knew about it) to get the truth.

I divorced the SOB and found out he had over 5 ongoing affairs. He married the one I originally found out about and she ended up divorcing him for cheating on her. Isn't Karma great?
Since then I married my high school sweetheart and we have been married over 22 years.
I am very sorry. these sacrifices to save our country has been hard and many soldier.. we are in combat and if he doesn't understand that then maybe one day sadly he will if we don't win... (but we will) . But in the meantime, try not to give up. Many people suffered losses if all kind.
family that disinvites you for rejecting the Transubstantiation of the Sacred Needlecraft, friends that think you somehow became a racist yazi "Russian" because you are skeptical about the new definition of Recession, etc. etc.. it's been my observation that anyone we were involved with prior to 2015 is no longer human (in a literal sense via genetic manipulation & permanent brainwashing damage) and irredeemable as far as relationships go (CNN telling them to apologize isn't going to cut it...) at least new friends are a possibility and circumstances have removed all doubt as to the quality of anyone's character, easy to see in mere seconds really..
