I work as a freelancer with a friend of mine doing A/V rentals and camera work for a lot of corporate events. The gig we have for this coming Monday just hit us with a vax requirement, and a requirement for a neg PCR test. I can get past the card thing, but it appears they want PCR tests possibly on the spot before being let in. I'm financially in a position where I can't really refuse work, and i'm also in a position where if I bail out last minute, it will create major problems for the guy I work for as i'm one of the only people avail who knows the job i need to do that day. Also, it will likely create problems down the road with future clients. The problem is, the guy I work for doesn't have a full understanding of why I have an issue with this and to him it isn't a big deal. He just sees it as "we all need to pay bills and is willing to do it if it means he can get paid. He's very politically disconnected from things as he mostly just focuses on his business. He doesn't believe when I tell him the vax is flawed, and that the PCR tests are fucking people up. Not because he's against anything i'm saying, but more because he just doesn't know, and it isn't important enough to him to look into it more. I am not really sure what to do. I can deal with wearing a mask from time to time for short periods to get through a gig. But asking me to insert shit into my body that I don't agree with is beyond where i'm willing to make a compromise. I also don't want to F the guy who's been giving me steady work and has become a good friend over the years. I'm in a tight spot. Thanks to the COVID pushers...

tell them to fuck off . This shit is how we got here.
Isn't there a contract agreement?
Is a clause agreeing to or requiring said test part of the contract?
No? -- well I'm sorry I'm not required to provide medical information per the contract, so I decline your test and will now begin delivering the contacted for work we agreed to.
Easy for me to say, but I’d be blunt. If you don’t, you’re liable to be the proverbial frog in boiling water compromising little by little until you get a gig too big to pass up without the jab.
Do point of care tests that give result in 15 minutes rather than PCR test. 1/4 inch swirled around nostril, not up to brain.
Use your sputum. Just spit on the swab. Do not put that swab up your nose.
Where do I get one of those?
Just swirl it in the air,it will always be negative.
Www.emed.com is good. As if company requires 'proctured' results, it's good to use.
Don’t use the Q-tip that comes in the kit.
PCR tests have already proven to be completely unreliable. Just tell them that. I would just tell them you'll wear a mask if it helps squelch their fearmongering and that's the best you can do.
Tell your friend you've had problems with vaxes before, and you don't want to risk your ability to work for him in the future (i.e., you'll be incapacitated). Tell him it's on the client for popping this on you both so late in the game, but if they want you to work, they'll have to deal with you as you are.
Besides, you don't have time to get the original vax, the 2nd dose and all the boosters to stay current even if you did want to!
I don't really understand your question. Are you asking if you have a leg to stand on legally? That depends on your contract. Otherwise, you are a freelancer, you can do what you want.
Say no if you don't want it. If they won't budge, then either leave or comply. Many of us have had to make hard decisions over the years. Shit, my state made it illegal to work at all without a vaccine for like a year. Many lost their livelihoods.
I suppose you could hide your power level and just show up and see what happens. If they reject you then they are out an A/V asset at the worst time. Perhaps they'll even cave. It's dishonest, but I wouldn't judge you for doing what you need to survive in a situation like this.
im not a lawyer, I Decided to take one to keep working on a british firm managed United states installation after calling the lawyer of owner of the company I worked for and talking with him.
depends on the state you are in, right ?
I would have been fine to walk out of that job knowing the enemy is going to put a q-tip that close to my membrane with anything they want to put on it. Not to scare you. So ask this why can't blood be taken by a trusted doctor ?
who really owns this company ?
do you have a plan for when you get exposed to whatever these people wish to do ?
What neck of the woods (approx. location) are you dealing with? The "guy you work with", is he an authority figure (owner, executive, manager, etc.)? If he is not, he's most likely just following orders. In this case it's not up to him and it doesn't matter how much proof you give him about PCR tests are bogus.
First find the authority figure(s) that have imposed this rule. Deal with them. Be polite. And invoke your rights under religious beliefs. Tell them that immunologists know less than 1% on how the human immune system works. God takes care of the other 99%+. Accordingly, God has made you a healthy individual with a strong immune system that is infinitely better than any man-made diagnosis having an understanding of less than 1% of your God-given immune system. You believe like the Amish, who don't vax☠xinate and every study shows the Amish are by far less sickly than the the rest of society.
Tell them you’ll do it on the condition that you give them a full rectal exam before work starts.
UPDATE: The guys I work for understand my situation and have put someone else on the job that day. They are just working with this client for the first time, and knowing how I feel and that I am strong on my convictions about this, they don’t want me to feel uncomfortable or have to do things I don’t believe in. Also, they don’t want there to be any issues with the client shouldn’t decide to speak up. Sucks I’m losing a day’s pay but I’d rather stand for my beliefs than cave. I would be more than happy to fake it to get through and get the $ but I’m not trying to cave should the client push the issue. Not my ideal turn out but at least I’m not being forced into something I don’t want to do.
If you're doing for money. Spend it all as fast as you can. There's a good chance you won't need it for retirement.
