? You are aware that the only time she "stepped down" before was in 2010 after the Republicans took back the House. Understand that is a different scenario than what is taking place here.
It's really not. As before, the republicans became the majority and as before, she, now in the minority, had to step down. Doesn't mean I'm not happy about it - it's just that some people seem to think it's the first and only time.
It IS the first time. I think you are both confused. Last time she lost Speaker, she still ran for and became Minority Leader. What she is saying here is that she will not run for that position. This will be the first time she is out of any leadership role at all.
No, it’s different. She is no longer in a leadership position with the demoncrats. When they were the minority party she was still the minority leader.

Not to mention she's about a 100 years old now...With no adrenochrome to keep her going, she won't last long enough to come back.
Imagine being 80, and your last months on the Earth have to be filled with DONALD TRUMP MUST BE STOPPED HE IS DESTROYING OUR DEMOCRACY!!!
She could still be the House Minority Leader though. Sounds like she's retiring completely this time.
