That's one of the biggest struggles, it's a hurdle I didn't realize would confront so many ingrained beliefs.
What it comes down to is the origins of 'science' was a means through which people could explain the universe without appeals to God. It's a battle today where, at a fundamental level, is a looming confrontation between 'materialist' views and an 'energetic' view.
The materialist view wants to quantize everything, the energetic view is 'debunked' because it relies on an 'immaterial and immeasurable factor' (usually called 'Ether').
Another way to say it is that materialists believe that a laser shoots photons at the speed of light where it travels in a waveform until the photon interacts with something else and can be treated again as a particle. Where in electric universe theory would ignore the photons and say that the laser is energizing the ether and the resulting waveform doesn't 'travel' but is visible because of the frequencies being generated.
(I hope I explained that in a way that makes sense, IMO, the materialist science is reluctantly getting dragged in piece by piece to come to terms with the energetic nature of the universe... and of course, this is ignoring the implications that come with it all).
It did, but the point remains that they are attempting to keep everything material, even where it doesn't make sense.
It's worth noting that there are only a select number of "acceptable" interpretations of the experimental data, the most common being the Copenhagen interpretation (matter exists as a waveform potential until being observed) or the 'many worlds' (a multiverse where at every observation every possible 'collapse' of the waveform will occur in its own universe).
It's not an acceptable view to expand Copenhagen to the universal scale, which would have the implication that without an 'observer' to collapse the waveform that the universe could not exist except as the waveform potential. Similarly, it is objectionable to suggest that the universe IS energy and the material world is simply the illusion created by the interaction of all these energetic fields.
As for string theory, it's best to think of that in terms of a purely mathematically abstracted model where they are trying to fit equations to observations, it gets so convoluted that it requires dozens of different 'dimensions' of 'space-time' to get the strings and super-strings to show up in the math in a way that is consistent with experimental observations, all in the attempt to create a "big TOE (theory of Everything)" that can reconcile quantum mechanics with special relativity. Einsteins relativity is a theory that is AT BEST incomplete if not false model. Even with the observations of the universe, relativistic models only accommodate about 5% of the known universe, and has since required the addition of 'dark matter' and 'dark energy' (matter and energy that do not interact with the EM spectrum) to try and force the universe into the model.
The God of the Bible is not effected by time, space, or matter. If He’s affected by time, space, or matter He’s not God. Time, space, and matter is what we call a continuum all three have to come into existence at the same instant. If there were matter but no space where would you put it? If there were matter and space but no time when would you put it? You cannot have time, space, or matter independently they have to come into existence simultaneously. The Bible answers that in ten words. In the beginning (there’s time) God created the heavens (there’s space) and the earth (there’s matter). So you have time, space, and matter a trinity of trinities. Time (past, present, future) Space (height, width, depth) Matter (solid, liquid, gas). A trinity of trinities all created instantaneously and the God who created them has to be outside of them. If He’s limited by time He’s not God. The creator of your computer is not in the computer. He’s not running around in there changing the numbers on the screen. The God that created this universe is outside of the universe. He’s above it, beyond it, in it, through it, He’s unaffected by it. If the concept that a spiritual force cannot have any affect on a material body then you have to explain emotions like love and hatred and envy and jealousy and rationality. I mean if your brain is just a random collection of chemicals formed by chance over billions of years then how on earth can you trust your own reasoning processes and the thoughts that you think? The God I worship is not limited by time, space, or matter. If I could fit the unlimited God in my 3lb brain He would not be worth worshiping. - Pastor Patrick when asked where does God come from and how does an immaterial spirit affect physical matter. (Searchable)
As you can tell those are not my words but I whole heartedly agree with them. In addition I would add that the Bible is the preconditioning for the manifestation of truth. We would not know truth without it. It is infinite in its wisdom. The Bible explains everything and does it on every scale from the simplest of concepts to the most specialized details of any subject and does in with language that can be grasped by all. After all, it is the spoken word of God divinely recorded by man. Every day more and more discoveries are made in all fields of science that merge with the existence of a creator God. Biology, physics, archeology, etc. Do yourself a favor and learn how transcription works in DNA. Anyone who understands the complexity and exacting multilayered nature of that process cannot possibly believe in evolution without being intellectually dishonest. Listen up, NORMAL ain’t coming back but Jesus is. Get ready or be left behind. The choice is yours. Choose wisely. Your life. The real one. The everlasting spiritual one. Depends on it. Energy is merely transformed not deleted. An eternity of love and peace and adventure awaits you with Jesus should you choose. Unless you happen to be a lake of fire kind of guy, just know it was your choice that sent you there. John 3:16
It's what I've spent the better part of this year thinking about and looking into. It really is the next level up in the "awakening" process, but all it is is just rediscovering lost knowledge & wisdom from those before us. It's amazing how far we've fallen with respect to consciousness and enlightenment
I’m feeling more like most of this community thinks this is “New Age” stuff, and so dismiss it.
it’s actually the most vital part of the awakening, understanding of who we really are and how the universe really works, how this information has been kept from us, and how we can win against evil every time utilizing it. (Positive, loving thoughts, vibrations, utilizing the God/love energy of the whole, etc.
In many senses, the new age shit is like you describe, but more devious. People have been pushed away from the church, many of them reject the materialist world-view and so they seek out a belief set that will provide more meaning, so, create the 'new age' movement as a way of explaining the immaterial, but twisted so as to keep people as controlled as through the religions they were pushed into leaving.
I still believe in God and Jesus. They are all over the NDEs, regardless of religious background, or lack thereof. What I know now of course is that God is not an old man with a white beard 😁
I also understand now that all “religion” is dogma/man-made and man has of course put in unnecessary controls and rules around everything. however, I also understand that some of these man-made rules are comforting and help people, so there’s that! I mean, God can make lemon made out of lemons :)
I also understand that Buddhism got a lot of it right. Christianity also got a lot of it right, especially Jesus/the New Testament.
What I am learning more and more is most important is your personal relationship with God, Jesus, with everyone and everything, as we are all connected. To share love as much as possible.
God is love. Of course there’s so much more to it, God is beyond power and comprehension, beyond our ability to grasp how much love, love and kindness, and power that God has and what God has created… how absolutely amazing God is, etc.
This is all my opinion, of course :) and even though I am discovering all this, I still fail daily, moment to moment by being intensely negative with what is going on in the world (it feels so overwhelming)… I am hoping by practicing more and more what I’ve learned, I will become a better and better person and thus making the world a better place. Ultimately, when I feel overwhelmed by all of this, at least I know that each person being loving, and positive actually can make a difference in the whole.
It’s also incredibly overwhelming to learn all of this when only a few of us on this board are becoming more aware… I would love to be on a website that is full of people like us - I need that support. I guess I just have to wait a little longer.
It wouldn't be the first time that I've been shocked by how much people hold onto things they were simply indoctrinated into believing. (The most surprising was relating to discussions about 9-11)
I'm just waiting for this community to figure it out.

The discovery of Quantum Mechanics and later Energy (String) Theory is what turned science on its head.

I'd guess most here know. Except maybe those too deeply indoctrinated in religion to even consider it.
