It also may be a mirror at our own government’s behaviour, especially Canada and Australia as well as flushing out which one of our politicians are silent and bought.

Considering Chinas normal response to such wide scale unrest is usually Troop deployments, mass arrests, and a body count. Ex: (1989. A year when absolutely nothing happened according to the CCP.)
The fact the response has been comparatively muted compared to expectations is interesting
I don’t know what is going on. The CCP is over playing their hands here.
They have done a good job of oppressing the Chinese people by taking away things that the citizens can still function.
They are now physically restricting their citizens in a much more visible way.
I don’t think they have ever done something like this before.
And even if the Chinese people didn’t rebel over these current insane lockdown depredations, the CCP depends on a strong, ever-growing economy both for their power and their legitimacy, and what’s going on now (combined with the beyond-bonkers China property bubble that, while seemingly on the precipice of imploding forever, will indeed actually implode one day soon) is not only medically nonsensical, but is economically suicidal.
I honestly cannot remotely figure out what the CCP’s logical endgame is here, so my only remaining theory is that Xi Xinping is actually covidiot Taylor Lorenz in a Chinese Pooh-faced costume.
Also interesting is the timing when all of this zero covid started - some 7 months ago when the rest of the world moved on. Why did this not happen earlier? China was not locking down when we were... also the harshness - they have literally pushed the citizens to a breaking point where they have lost fear because they have nothing to loose. Well, all we can do is watch how this unfolds. The other thing is how are videos getting out? I thought the firewall is iron clad now.
Well, China was locking down when we were, before we were, in fact. That’s where Fauci (DBUH) claimed he got the idea that lockdowns were so “effective”.
But your larger point emphasizing the inexplicable strangeness of the timing is certainly right, because: a) not everybody realized back in 2019/2020 that the coof was not that dangerous, so while lockdowns have always been a scientific farce and a moral obscenity, lockdowns weren’t as farcical and obscene back then, and b) China certainly hasn’t been going full ludicrous-mode lockdown like this all the way along - this is a clear escalation of some strategy here in recent months. Again, it just seems suicidal, tho.
Additional note: I was talking to some native Chinese last weekend, and they couldn’t explain the lockdowns any more than I could, but they both thought it was something that was only going to last until Xi got “re-elected”, and so they were obviously very surprised to now be seeing it only getting worse. And I think that may be part of what is causing this unrest now, the widely-shared reaction of “Ok, we put up with this insanity thinking it was just until Xi got his chance to solidify his power… but it’s now only getting worse, with no end!”
We're not under tyranny here, look what they're doing in China! That's tyranny! Now let me stick this thing in your nose.
It’s bizarre…. The Canadian media just started pushing out anti China propaganda this evening. They have always been neutral to pro China. Something behind the scenes has changed.
I started thinking the same thing when I seen liberal America reporting on china’s lockdowns. Usually we don’t talk much about situations going on in China like the Uyghurs for example.
XJP is an anti social human being. He's a sociopath. Nothing he does will ever make sense to us.
Yes, it makes sense. I don’t trust anything coming out of China but anything is possible. CCP is their deepstate and China needs cleansing as well.
People will only take so much abuse, especially if life was notably better in the recent past. China accelerated incredibly quickly into a social credit system and smart cities. Even for the Chinese it's too much authoritarianism too quickly.
I think so also.
What did Q say that gave people the idea that it was Americans who had to reach the precipice in an extreme way?
