My house is on a park , 100’s of people walk by weekly , I have a huge pledge of allegiance plaque nicely done in a window facing where everyone walks by , next to my flag waving! I’m always amazed at how many people tell their children 6 7 8 9 years old what it is , I’m shocked! Even teens walk by and read with kind of perplexed looks on their faces I put it out there on January 6 and it will stay out there as long as I’m alive when it fades I’ll replace it!
In this, I disagree. I pledge allegiance to God , our Creator, to the Constitution, and the principles upon which our Constitutional Republic was established.
I love our Flag, but I will not pledge allegiance to it since it is simply a symbol, which can become an idol. I will not put any Idol before God.
I served 8 years in the Army and fought for our country. People have the right to abstain from participating in things, even if others disagree with them. That is how liberty works, and why I have an allegiance to the founding principles upon which our Republic was established rather than blind allegiance to a symbol.
When I was growing up, we all said the pledge of allegiance at the beginning of every school day. Kids that got out of line suffered "corporal punishment" both in school and at home.
It worked. As a nation, we need to return to those practices that delivered good results in the past.
I took an Oath to uphold and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign, and domestic. That is my loyalty, not to the flag, not to the government, not to the president. A blind pledge is dangerous, and we see the results when people are indoctrinated by a tyrannical government hiding behind a symbol (flag) and going after anyone that disagrees with their agenda. They ignore and destroy the constitution all while standing under a flag that has been subverted.
FYI, The Pledge of Allegiance was written by a Socialist and was supposed to be something that could be used in any country. It was not inspired by America, nor for America. Words were later added to make it American, but my allegiance will never be to a flag. It will always be to the principles upon which our Republic was established, and to uphold and defend the Constitution, which IS the foundation of our Republic.
Living abroad in a rural area in the Philippines, I watched the children raise the Philippines flag, recite their pledge, sing the national anthem, and recite the pledge. NOT a single child didn't have a look of pride and joy on their faces.
The removal of these things has led to the unpatriotic youth we see today.
I'm in rural eastern Washington and it's a daily event here. Every sporting event in our district will have a show of patriotism and most will have pre/post game prayers.
If the west side saw us they'd lose their minds.....and we like it this way.
All of those might be gone from most schools in almost all states, but I live in Texas. I hear the pledge every day. i listen to kids singing the Star Spangled Banner once a week. (It is hard to listen to 4 to 10 year olds sing it. Like nails on a blackboard). Teachers and admins do pray when we have inservice meals without kids. Not all schools and communities are crazy.

Great! Love people doing their bit to save America!

God, family, country
Yeah... No. In fact, fuck off.

How are you telling a whole vet to fuck off because you don’t agree with what he fought for? You can feel free to take your own advice though.

Agreed!!!
Totally agree.
My local school system still recites the pledge of allegiance every day!
Pledge allegiance to globohomo or lose everything.
We say the Pledge every morning at our school. Prayer meetings are also allowed.

Better yet, take your kids out of indoctrination camp and teach them whatever patriotic things you feel.

May I add, in English.
why do we need to pledge allegiance? Are we North Korea or something? lol
Because it teaches love of country and it should remind us ALL that we are a republic.
Meanwhile, in Canada, patriots are trying to do away with our pledge to the King of England. Wish us Godspeed.
We have a lot of cleanup that needs to be done before I pledge allegiance again.
