No one wants to ruin anything, just stop the monopolization and stop gatekeeping merchants from potential clients and stop stealing intellectual property
The constant 'grinding'.....the seditious plotlines that give illusion of 'choice'.....
the tabulation of your decisions and uploading to the cloud.....the intentionally unfixed glitches and subtle algorhythms that create un-needed difficulties that enrage.....
You should know that Game Theory is a military thing, and so gaming is controlled at the top as Irregular Warfare Psyop.
A deep dive has suggested to me that Gregory Hill was made Poobah of Gaming and Game Theory at Southern Illinois U. Malcalypse the Younger knew a thing or two about Virtual Realities. (Rabbit hole warning)
Initially I ripped the author for his poxy mod and my comment was gone over night. So then, for literally one sentence, I said "So awesome for you to support this cause" and then just started ripping him and his shill, over and over and over again. It's still up from March and is somehow at the top of the comments.
Meh. I play VR with my husband and we have a great time doing so - it's way more interactive than sitting watching tv at night. We still don't like Marks metaverse and that's okay, the success of VR doesn't only depend on Zuck - it was around before him and will be after even if the Meta headsets fail.
The real issue with both VR and flat screen video games is that they're a distraction at the end of the day. Just like watching tv etc. they keep us distracted from our problems, worries & most importantly from building our relationship with God.
The backstory of "Ready Player One" involved a global pandemic leading to everyone getting trapped in a world that looked very much like the Great Reset with VR metaverse as the bread and circuses of the time.
I have seen some studies involving site safety for commercial construction projects. They would create the site according to Building Information Modelling projects, and then highlight the danger points for site supervisors at any stage of the project. The humans could wander about the site in VR, before attending the real site.
The results were positive in terms of safety training, but the tech is still in a development phase, and BIM is still a difficult project in itself, given the variability of materials, and stages of construction etc. Architects have to design the entire project in 3D, and place every construction member individually, so it is like building the project with individual bits, just like reality - which is different from how things are normally built in video games that will aggregate lines, for example, and BIM therefore needs an inordinate amount of processing power.
I think the caveat here is that this type of VR actually represents reality, and can afterwards be applied to reality.
Go outside and experience life. Anything that distracts you from that is a psyop.

I would not go after the developers, no, though getting into bed with a monopoly is never a good idea.

EDIT:- ......and it's gone.

One would probably be quite surprised at how a 'sleeper' can be trained along with hypnosis........

Short term gain (virtual gain) vs long term loss (reality).
Virtual is a word that means 'fake'.....almost real.....but not.
Reality is a concept.
Virtual reality = False concept by definition.
So, aside from your short term virtual gain.....what is lost in the long term?
Mission accomplished - false, easily created/destroyed realities in constant flux.
Going to and fro in Illusion...........who gains from that?
We're all going to have to push the reset button.

Live in your body or you will lose it.
