What is this thread all about?

Does not need to be Q related.
1930s/40s. Everyone looked like they were going somewhere important. Plus, all the hats. Flour being sold in big floral print cloth sacks that women would turn into dresses. Pocket squares for men. No tracksuits, sweatpants, miniskirts.
While looking through a website of 1930s fashions, there was a 1931 Sears catalog page dedicated to men's rings, and a third of them were Masonic. They were referred to as "Emblem rings." 🤔
Few people look elegant these days. There was a man who had a plant stall at a local market, he was the epitome of an English gentleman. Treed suit, perfect shirt and tie, waistcoat, pocket hankie, carnation in his buttonhole - the works. He was a sight for sore eyes, I miss him.
I second this!
