After receiving a permanent suspension from twitter a few months ago, I started a new account with a different email (but from the same laptop in my house). I have been posting various comments and memes from this new account, but have not had a SINGLE reply. When I had my former account, there would definitely be replies (especially when posted to Biden's twitter posts :) ). I also noticed yesterday that someone else's comment to a Biden post was listed as having 8 comments to it, yet after clicking the comment, only one reply to it was shown. I posted "Does anyone else see that there are 7 comments, but only one shows?", and no replies to that question. I'm thinking that the twitter algorithm recognized my IP address as being the same as the previously banned account, and has an algorithm that makes people think they are actually posting to twitter, but nobody else sees their tweets. Anyone else here having this happen, or am I the only lucky one?

Its called shadow banning
And the example I cited seems to indicate it is happening a lot to conservatives there.
Vajayjay and crew had many-many years to fuck it up over there and I imagine the algorythm is an obfuscated mess so I hope things will get better.
Otherwise, Twitter is kicking goals ATM.
When you create a new account it cannot have anything that can link it to your previous account. IP is the first thing they look at.
But I guess they don't want to tell people that is happening :) (just let them tweet away, to nobody but the air)
yea i thought the same when i noticed it haha
Turn on vpn. Also most isps are dynamic up addresses that change
Good observation It is going to require more follow-up Don't let up keep asking and screenshot the posts.
Lol, I guess. It's only been around for 20 years... but good on ya for noticing...
finally...
after 20 years.
I got one like on my response to Rob Reiner.
"Lol
Rob fucking Reiner"
I'd expect more than that considering there were over 8000 replies to his tweet.
Well I will second your Lulz.
"I said T&E you fat fuck!"
I can report the same here.
I've had that issue with Facebook, see that there are x number of comments but only 1 (or none!) show up when I click.
Most replies and early followers used to be bots. Nowadays you can expect a reply from the person to whom you tweeted. If you just tweeted, unless you have followers you wont get any reply. It makes sense.
Yes it’s part of the freedom of speech not freedom of reach. So probably the only people who can see your account are those that actually search it.
Jootube does the same.
I haven't been overtly banned but yes, I see that discrepancy a lot.
