The message is clear: pay with cash.
So, the bank vehemently denied it and claimed the image was photoshopped. They also said one of their merchant customers is one of the top 10 Firearms producers in the country.
Interesting. This could be a bad actor trying to hurt the bank, or the bank could be lying. Could even be something started by a democrat to cause chaos for conservatives. Hope we learn the truth.
If it was true, and they owned it, it would harm the bank.
If it was true, and they do a big performance about how aggrieved they are that they were so slandered, working the victim-hood angle relentlessly.. and then it soon came out that they were lying... Then thats an order of magnitude more damage. Especially in a place like KY.
Their refutation seems pretty weak. Were something like this being slowly put into place, they would surely go after all the little guys first without antagonizing the larger participants like the client they cite. Since the larger clients can make more noise and call more unwelcome attention to the shenanigans.
A lot of banks outsource their debit cards to a third party, like visa. Maybe it's that third party
In that case the bank would know.
If we lose cash and gun shows and private sales, we lose our freedom CBDCs are coming. If you don't know what they are then you need to check them out. The government will be able to stop anyone from purchasing a gun or anything else they don't want you to have.
You can't lose private sales.
Bought a new gun today. Paid cash. This is as clear as can be, fight the cashless society push tooth and nail. This type of oppression will become commonplace in a cashless society.
Contrariwise, the bank may have a claim against this "customer" for libel. What evidence does the customer have? A screen shot? (insert laugh track here)
If it's fake, there will be no suit re 2nd Amendment Rights. No receipts. No evidence. The bank will have a good libel suit, however.
This is a good example of why mature adults should wait 72 hours for all the facts to come out before demonstrating outrage.
Those "screen shots" look sus. Not aware of any POS system that gives details about why a transaction is declined. Only "accepted" or "declined". No error codes or error messages except maybe network error or card read error.
