I'd bet that the self-sufficient people also want nothing to do with the wokels and avoid these events, probably coordinating in other ways and meeting more directly. Plus if they're preppers well the first rule of prepping club is that you don't advertise that you're in it.
I’m totally against driving under any influence but I really do think this is the safest thing, for people to grow their own plants and they can grow what they need and get consistent results. That way you are not worried about it being laced with any other drugs.

Dad said for years that he couldn't get mom to agree to move out of this state because of her elderly mom (his parents were already gone.) Well grandma died almost 5 years ago and they still haven't gone anywhere, at this rate looks like I'm going to leave before them.
Ask at a local gun shop. look for flyers if they have a bulletin board. Our local one, the owners are at every meeting... Also, google "meet up" for your area and look for groups.
