EPA to ban appliances due to effect on ozone layer?

I hope a physicist can clear this up for me, but I thought the ozone layer had virtually nothing to do with global warming. The ozone layer stops UV radiation, which is not an atmospheric heating element, correct? This seems to make about as much sense as so many other EPA mandates and most things Biden.
I thought the "ozone" hole was shrinking no?
I guess what happened is the old r-22 was creating an ozone hole, so most of the world stoped using it. In the USA r-134 became commonplace as an alternative which then phased into r-410.(410 is a blend of two! different CFCs).
Aparently r-410 has a high "potential" to trap heat than plain ol co2 does. They (EPA, IPCC) call it a GWP (Global Warming Potential). No doubt the GWP is derived by a secret blend of proprietary spices and agendas.
Nothing does what CFCs do better than CFCs. So we just ban them each generation and create a new CFC for the next generation to deal with.
*Note I am not a PhD, but I have had to deal with old r-22 appliances, fill my car A/C with 134, and my home HVAC unit with 410.
And I bet appliances that don't use the CFCs will be less efficient, therefore use more electricity, therefore generate more CO2. But the people who come up with these laws think electricity just comes from a wire with no CO2 involved.
Does Brandon want us to go back to using propane or ammonia for refrigerant? There are obvious reasons we don't use those in consumer products.
He probably wants us to harvest ice in the winter. Or maybe follow the Romans with underground ice chambers.. anything to keep us worn down and out of their hair.
Well, I know the dishwashers that qualify for tax rebates don't work anywhere near as well as the ones made back in the 60's. The Maytag repairman is now always busy, ordering expensive proprietary parts and chips off his phone...
I guess if we live long enough, every scam comes back around again.
