Medicinal Herbs we can grow in our gardens that we should all know about to help get us away from big pharma. I copied and pasted majority of information from the information boxes under the videos. I've used for the most part one youtuber because the knowledge she has gained from many years, starting from her grandmother teaching her to doing her own research. She is always saying she is blessed even though she has known some hard times. Her husband has just got back to work after 6 months healing a broken heal (broke it in 2 places).
There are others out there that have herbal knowledge that you can find out there and they pretty much all say the same things, but this lady shows and tells you step by step how to use the herbs and sometimes differs a little from what others say. Like she will tell you to wait at least 8 weeks for tinctures to be ready whereas other's say 4-6 weeks. There are of course many more medicinal herbs but here are a few.
Green black walnut hull tincture:
This tincture is like a homemade Ivermectin. Green black walnut hull tincture is a very important medicinal to have in your medicine cabinet. It is antimalarial, antifungal, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antioxidant, kills parasitic infections, reduces heart disease and so many more ailments inside and outside the human body. The herb is said to help control menorrhagia, the excessive loss of blood during periods. Black walnut is effective against pinworm, ringworm, tapeworm, and other intestinal parasites.
Green black walnut hulls are also a good source of beta-carotene, acids, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, silicon, zinc, tannin, B-vitamins, and vitamin C.
Dosage amount for a adult is: take 20 drops in a little water/juice 3 times a day for a week.
To use externally put several drops of tincture on a cotton ball, and dab on the athlete's foot, warts, ringworm, psoriasis, eczema and other fungal infections. Make sure that there is enough on the cotton ball to doctor the area. Note: this will stain your skin brown temporarily.

Usnea Tincture:
This small hairy lichen is a powerhouse healer, and unfortunately more people don't know about it. Well known as a broad-spectrum natural antibiotic. It is a antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic as well as antibacterial. Known to heal staph infections, gangrene, heal wounds, respiratory issues, allergy symptoms, stop bleeding, sore throat, fungal infections, urinary infections, sinus infections, vaginal infections and the listing goes on and on. Have used it personally as a tincture, a tea and as a wound wash.
Usnea does have one side effect that is easily avoided. It is known to cause the body to hold on to heavy metals. This is easily bypassed by making sure you drink plenty of fluids to flush your system.

Medicinal Pokeweed Berries:
Sadly too many people have been led to believe that pokeweed is highly poisonous and it will kill them if they touch it. Pokeweed also known as Phytolacca americana, poke, poke salat, poke berry and many others. She is a wonderful medicinal plant that has to be respected and used properly in order to not become sick. If eaten in high amounts yes it will make you deathly ill but cooked, tinctured or other ways of using her is done correctly she will heal you.
The pokeweed berries have been well known as a blocker of inflammation for those who suffer from auto immune flare-ups, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, aching joints and other conditions that cause inflammation in joints of the body. As long as you follow the directions you will be fine and you need to pay attention to your body signals. Dosage is as follows:
1st Week - 1 frozen berry 1x per day 2nd Week - 2 frozen berries 1x per day 3rd Week - 3 frozen berries 1x per day
DO NOT EXCEED 3 BERRIES PER DAY
She says to clip the berries from the stems carefully and put them on a cookie sheet and freeze, when frozen, put them in a ziplock bag and put them back in freezer, don't let them thaw out. Then when you need to take one, take it from freezer and take right away, swallow whole, do not chew it.

Sweet Potato Vines:
Sweet potatoes are so healthy for us and we need to be eating more in our diet when possible. Not only the tubers are healthy for us but so are the leaves and the stems. You can add them to soups, stews, stir fries, saute them and so many other different ways are possible to use them.
Sweet potato leaves contain carbohydrates, protein, fiber as well as omega 3 fatty acids. They contain so many vitamins and here are just a few A, C, K, B1, B2, B3 and B9. They even contain more minerals calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium and zinc which are vital for the health of our body.
Some may not know that sweet potato leaves are also medicinal as well. Several studies have already proven that this plant has anti-diabetic compounds that lower blood glucose content. They also help with inflammatory problems, strengthens your eyesight, antibacterial, helps with heart health, high in antioxidants and helps with bone health just to name a few amazing healing benefits of this plants leaves. Just many reasons I love to eat sweet potato leaves plus the bonus factor they taste really good.

Making A Sweet Potato Vine Tincture:
Sweet potato leaves provide ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Vitamin B, Vitamin A, Vitamin K, B-Carotene, B6, Thiamine, Niacin, Zinc, Riboflavin, Iron, Folic Acid, Calcium, and Protein. Several studies have proven that this plant has anti-diabetic compounds that lowers blood glucose content. Sweet potato leaves are proven to be high in lutein which is supposed to contribute to the prevention of cataracts and Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD). It is effective in killing prostate cancer: An extract of sweet potatoes leaves was found to be extremely toxic to prostate cancer, killing about 90% of cancerous cells also slowing the growth of prostate tumour/s. It acts as an anti-mutagen and tumour suppressor and it is also active against breast cancer, lung cancer, leukaemia and stomach cancer. This is just a few of many more benefits from this amazing plant. Of course do your own research to see if this plant is right for your circumstance.
Now you can also boil the leaves and stems of the sweet potato plant for 20 minutes. Strain the tea and enjoy a cup of tea once a day storing the leftover tea in the fridge for up to a week. Then making a fresh batch of tea if not wanting to make the tincture form.

Wild Lettuce and Making Tincture:
Wild lettuce which is a very important pain medication. One that does not cause addiction nor any withdrawals. Best yet it is a pain medication that is not produced by big pharma. With this being said you still need to do your research and make sure that you are gathering wild lettuce and not ragweed or some other plant.
Wild lettuce has been used for many centuries to help with pain. Many call it opium lettuce which it shouldn't be called that at all, because it has no opium in the plant whatsoever. With this being said the cells that are in the plants sap work with your brains opiate reactors which makes them think that you have taken it and that is how the pain medication part of the plant works. There is no narcotic addiction or the ability to pop positive for a drug test in the medication of wild lettuce sap. It does however work very well for pain and will cause you to become drowsy due to its sedative effects. It is a blessing to have the ability to take something for pain and not have to worry about becoming addicted to it.
Now with the above spoken about there are many other healing benefits of wild lettuce that most do not know about. Due to the fact that more are interested in the pain relieving side of wild lettuce. It is also used to help heal whooping cough, asthma, urinary tract problems, painful menstruation, nymphomania, swelling of men's genitals, insomnia, anxiety, paranoia and several other ailments. Also with these being listed you do need to do your research regardless and know what is right for you to use. Just with this added extra information about how wonderful this plant really is just know that it is always best to do your own research so that you can find the right herbal remedy for your own usage.

Straining The Wild Lettuce Tincture:
Dosage amount is 1/2 a dropper every 4-6 hours as needed. Listen to the directions in the video.
I have gotten off blood pressure meds and substituted for natural remedies with success. After being on anti depressants for 12 years I've transitioned to psilocybin since it's legal here. Big pharma is poison.
I have a 30 year old daughter with downs autism and OCD ,, the childhood vaxx caused a lot of damage ,, I wasn’t awake then, I actually watch some of it in real time , my God how deceived I was ! thank God I caught it in time for my youngest daughter who is 29 ! anyway she’s now having mental health problems , I keep her away from medical doctors and so forth who just wanna put her on psych drugs any extra information you can give me that will be a natural antidepressant would be such a blessing, my life is pretty busy with her , I don’t have a lot of time to research , so shortcuts are valuable thank you so much. I’ll certainly search through these links u added
I live in Colorado where psilocybin / mushrooms, DMT, and all plant based psychedelics are now legal to produce and consume. This is also legal in Washington. Micro dosing psychedelics has been proven beneficial in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD. You're not " getting high " but building it up in your system to have positive long-term effects. If it's not legal in your state I would suggest consulting a psychologist who may able to point you in the right direction. I think in some states where it's not necessarily legal some psychologist/ psychiatrist can prescribe it if they they have special authorization. Not 100% sure how that works. Might need to research a little further. Good luck!
Thank you , I remember 40 yrs ago or so hearing that this was used by psyc Drs . I only know about using them years ago to trip as in a drug ! Not sure how this would work with daughters brain but I will certainly look into it ,,, thank u
You're welcome!
Totally agree to stay away from Dr. and pharmaceuticals. Please consider cannabis ( both THC and CBD ) which is beneficial to many but kept hidden by big pharma. Taking it orally ( eaten ) is best tried starting with low doses and gradually increasing as required. Have seen benefits from those with anxiety and depression, also back pain and soreness, but it is known to help many others. Good luck, God bless. ( micro dosing psilocybin is also a fantastic alternative to harmful pharma )
CBD Oil helps my eczema.
I have been thinking about this lately. I have been struggling with anxiety off and on for 15 years. Tried all the meds and can never deal with the side effects for long. My friend gave me a Delta 8 gummy the other day, and it seemed to help. Not sure how healthy delta 8 gummy bears are though. Weed isn’t legal in my state. I’m starting to think the anti-weed propaganda is similar to the ivermectin smear campaign. I’m not saying it would be good to be blazed 24/7, but a very small amount might help a lot of issues
100% correct on the smear campaign against ivermectin,HCQ and same with cannabis. The DS don’t want to lose money on the drugs they sell for huge profits to herbs and drugs that work. Smoking weed is just one way it can be used. Much better (imho) is vaping fresh herb( dried and ground fine ) but cookies and other edibles are great too. Just take care on the dosage amounts with edibles, start slow.
Would you please share the supplements that you are using? Thanks
Turmeric Curcumin, vitamin K2, and Olive leaf extract. I did coconut oil for a while but it's kind of gross to swallow
I personally think we need to take back control of our own health. Nature has provided a multitude of flowers, roots, leaves, bark and an almost limitless pharmacopeia of healing vegetation. We need to start taking care of ourselves, family and friends. https://www.thegoodtrade.com/features/natural-remedies-books
Here is a list of herbal books that will aid in self education. I recommend buying at least one to study and begin learning to take care of yourselves if/when our "modern" medicine system collapses.
I agree!
I had mrsa in my legs for almost 4 years, was in and out of the hospital, took antibiotics the whole time, it was getting worse. I found a study in Pub Med that some African doctors had done on essential oils against mrsa. The #2 oil was thyme, white thyme specifically. I got some, put 100 drops in a jar of coconut oil and started applying it twice a day. The mrsa went away. I sincerely believe if I had not come across this study, I wouldn't have legs now. Doctors don't know everything, if they did they wouldn't still be practicing!
My son got a stsph infection in his lungs while in the hospital. He survived but constantly had staph infections. The cure was taking turmeric pills twice a day.
Good information however go to a local bookstore. There are tons of old books and encyclopedias with this knowledge you can physically own because when the time comes that you really will need it, you won't have power to look this up on electronics. They usually are quite cheap nowadays compared to what it was when it was a new print. Plus everything online has been compromised by bias so a good ole fashioned book is the way to go for this stuff.
ThanQ fren, saved for future reference. Appreciate your time and efforts.
Your welcome fren. There are so many more natural remedies out there.
Needs it's own site.
Thanks very much. Saved :)
Your welcome!

Thank you for sharing this information. I read it and saved it, good info to know.
Welcome fren, glad it's worth the save. There are so many good natural remedies out there.
Thank you! I have been growing herbs for decades but never made a tincture. Going to start.
That’s awesome Sissy! Let me know how they turn out, I’m going to try my hand at it also. I’ve already started collecting some usnea to try it, but don’t have enough to make it yet. I would love to go foraging.
You know I have a cousin that goes by “Sissy” instead of her real name. It’s weird when I hear someone use her real name, lol.
My grandchildren are the only ones that call me Sissy. Looking forward to spring.
Ty fren, bookmarking. A side note I have been reading about homeopathic cell salt remedies lately. I suggest if you have time you look it up its very interesting and will be helpful ❤️🧀
No I don't, but DextertheCat in the comments above has a link to a list of books. We all should buy some herbal books to have on hand as we may not always have the internet to rely on.
Thank you
Don't forget eleutherococcus root, and cordyceps.
Also ginkgo and elder flowers.
And reishi mushroom.
Did a post a few months ago on medicinal mushrooms
https://greatawakening.win/p/15Jn6g1ozE/medicinal-mushrooms-and-the-extr/
Obviously, someone doesn't like the post & a few of all our comments, why would someone downvote a health remedy post and comments?
Ok I’m bummed I didn’t know most of this before now especially because I grew lilac sweet potatoes. The vines and leaves were beautiful and my potatoes were not successful 🤨 I could have at least used the leaves! Thanks so much for sharing
I know right!! I was throwing mine away 🤦♀️ I still have a tiny bit growing in a container on my porch and I'm going to maybe dehydrate them, and have some tiny sweet potatoes that made it that are already sprouting, I may try to grow some over the winter by keeping them inside on really cold days/nights 🤞
Still so much to learn, I feel like an idiot for not noticing this stuff before. After watching this lady's videos (which I'm still working my way through them) I want to plant my whole yard with stuff, lol. I need to find a good place to go foraging that's safe, I'm in the south so have to be really careful where we step 🐍
And this lady will write you back if you leave a comment or email her, might not be right away, but she always tries to answer people back.
That’s fantastic! I started my garden first time in spring but it wasn’t super successful as I didn’t know what I was doing. I have a whole Arsenal of seeds from baker creek I’m excited to try and my 16 yo has become obsessed with peppers. I save my very weak lilac potatoes that I did get and I’m going to try to get slips so I won’t have to purchase them again,
Yes, this year was my first year gardening also. Only got one zucchini that made it, my basil did good, no tomatoes, green beans were doing well up to a point, then died, had good success with green peppers (probably at least 20 peppers) & a couple of yellow peppers. Sweet potatoes were all small ones. The carrots I planted from seeds didn't make it, did you know you can eat the carrot leaves?
I still have my pepper plants in buckets and brought them inside when it's cold at night, and have more peppers growing. Hope they make it. I cut them up, then put them in those vacuum seal bags and vacuum seal them, then freeze.
I did know about the carrot leaves, I got a handful of carrots and they were sooo good! I got a couple tomatoes, a bunch of cherry tomatoes, one cucumber, about 6 zucchini. I even got a couple watermelons but they didn’t grow fast enough before it froze. I tried pumpkins but again started too late. This year I’m ready! I have heat mats, grow lights, I’m going to try the milk jug greenhouses, and I even got a hydroponic to grow lettuce. No mRNA veggies for this family 😂 husband teases me about my expensive tomatoes and carrots but next year hopefully it will balance out and be cost effective 🙏
Only part of that money was for the tomatoes and carrots.
Part of the money was for supplies.
BUT the bulk of the money was for hands on education. How much would you pay for a class to teach you what you just learned last growing season?
Starting out it will be more expensive because we are recovering the lost knowledge of being self sufficient. This is stuff our grandparents knew and lived.
I'm in the same boat. We are overwintering our peppers for the first time - we live in MN. I hope it takes because these plants were prolific.
Melons were a bust for us this year, but I still remember grandma telling us kids to 'save the seeds' when we were eating a sweet one from her garden.
Also, we are trying to get carrot seeds. They are a biennial plant so hopefully next fall we will have seeds.
You hang in there! 😊
You go girl! I was just telling hubby we may need a heat lamp for the vegs in the garage. I may try talking him into putting up some shelves or something for the ones in smaller pots. I'll be pushing my luck here because I've already taken up the area that he has his weights in and pushed them over to the side, lol.
He just bought me two standing/raised garden beds that we still need to finish coating them with paint to protect the wood and put some of the garden sheeting stuff inside the boxes before we can add the soil from my other raised bed he built me from stuff we had around the yard. It worked great but hard on my back (have some discs that don't appreciate the bending so much) and the ants that kept trying to take over.
Don't know if you know this little trick to kill ants or not (or just about any bug I think, I've tried it on a few and works). Get a container, fill it with water then add some dawn dish soap (cheap kind works also). I don't have an exact amount, I just put however much I decide is enough, lol. Stir it up, then go piss off some ants and pour that liquid on the ant bed. In a garden you can put it in a spray bottle and spray them, I believe you can spray your plants with them also if you have issues with something eating your plants.
Also cinnamon and coffee grounds ants don't like. After I got rid of the ants, I started spreading coffee grounds in the garden bed (which is now empty as I took everything out and put what was left in buckets), every now and then I go out with a shovel and mix around the soil, haven't found any more ants, thank goodness. We will put that soil into my new raised beds hopefully soon. Not sure what to put in them right now though. Maybe lettuce and whatever else can grow in the southern winters.
Great post! Thank you for sharing that information.
Poke salad, not "salat," as some old people seem to pronounce it.
An Italian guy said, "If you poke me, I'll Phytolacca americana." That's how we learned the scientific name in 10th grade biology.
Sorry I just realized I didn't add the link to making the Green Black Walnut Hull tincture -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wfLroVg-MU&t=0s
I do have in the post when the lady strained the tincture and under that video in the description box, she does have the link to video of when she made it.
