It wasn't essential, but did help the plaintiff's case that there be fuckery afoot.

They have to do 4 months of work in a week, and if the court's upload system isn't up to snuff, it simply shows it's a lousy system by design -- to screw over the public in general, not just including this particular case.

Still, I would agree that there is an appearance of idiocy and incompetence here. Even if it is rationally explained away. Hopefully it does not affect the weight the judge gives the evidence.
They could purposely throw it. I heard that the complaint they wrote is not a very good one. Instead of arguing the facts, they made emotional and political arguments. That is not a good way to win a case.

I did however see Katie Hobbs lawyers unable to get literally anything done on cross examination almost every time they tried the witness was durable and shut down their word twisting and trap questions. That means the lawyer of the plaintiff did a great job not leaving any holes or mistakes for the other attorneys to exploit on cross. Also behind Hobbs lawyers is a whole group of lawyers all participating passing notes and taking turns but Kari lake has only had the same two men. Remember this has all been unfolding in a matter of days, give them a little wiggle room and in all honesty it seems the judge is favoring the right side of the law and hopefully does the right thing.
I thought they did great considering the situation they have to work with. on the contrary the government lawyers were fucking themselves every which way. they didn't object during an obvious hearsay situation and had to keep their questions short because they kept helping Kari Lake. It was beautiful. can't wait for tomorrow. Also this will give info to Abe's suit which is moving forward.
