I'm sure someone's asked about this before, but I couldn't find any good posts on it. So my mom got the "Flu/a cold" and while later she got better for the most part, but after a week or so, she has a persistent cough and has lost her voice. There hasn't been too much of an improvement in her voice for about a week or so.
I know there's probably very little I can do to help (She's vaccinated, and parents in general are very against ivermectin or literally any other solution that isn't fed to them by the media), but thought I'd ask for advice.
I got her to take Vitamin C, and D, and she's using Honey and hot tea to soothe her throat. Is there anything else that I could recommend? I've considered mentioning low percentage hydrogen peroxide in a humidifier, but my guess is she'll take one look online and see that it's "controversial" and not even consider it. Anything that could work, but isn't talked about online enough to be dissed by the media?
Semi related/unrelated rant. My sister (below 18) is vaccinated, just got boosted recently. She caught covid within a week of getting the shot, got better, and then got the flu (right after getting the flu shot as well). Mom got the booster, got sick like a week or two later, and is now dealing with this. My cousin's mom is all vaccinated/boosted, even banned me from her house for a year cause I refused. in the last 3 months she's been in the hospital for blood clotting in her lungs, and now I've just heard that she may have thyroid cancer. And yet here I am, not vaccinated (since I've been an adult at least, still was forced into getting some when I was a young kid), haven't worn a mask except for when it was 100% mandated/forced, and I still haven't caught so much as a cold since before the beginning of the pandemic (maybe 2018-2019 or something was the last time I had a mild cold?) Yet STILL these people, or just about anyone I know won't listen to a word I say, and will take every chance they get to "dis" my choice of not getting the vaccine. Like holy hell you guys, what more has to happen for some of these people to realize?
Sorry, I'm just super annoyed, want to help everyone as much as I can, but feel like I'm getting nowhere solely because people won't even listen to what I have to say.
I have:
My blood is pure and I've not been sick at all in 5 years. I'll stick to supplements and pine needle tea. My God-given immune system is working great. YMMV
Ooh pine needle tea! I completely forgot about that! That's something I can likely recommend that they won't be "against". Something I really need to do for myself too.
Yeah, I'm 100% with you there. Besides the vaccines I got when I was younger (forced into it, and didn't know any better), I've been staying away from them. Unfortunately have been forced to take a test a few times (only the at-home ones, never went anywhere), to be able to see family back during the big part of the pandemic, but avoided them as much as possible).
A natural God-given immune system is always best! We just need to not interfere with it and let it do it's thing!
You can also try fennel tea it has the same thing in it, I forget the name of it
Here's my story.
I have COPD, cancer, atrial fillibration and hiatus hernias.
Never had the vaxx, take NAC, Zn, Quecertin, vit C and D daily and have had the coof which I got rid of using IVM.
So I have natural immunity.
But this ****** coughing and spitting up huge gobs of phlem? It won't go away.
Try adding Clear Lungs. Herbal supplement. It works.
You have to let people be. You cannot force them. Sad. Think they would notice how healthy you are.
Pretty much, unfortunately. I've even mentioned hey, look, I haven't been sick in ages, but they just always say "oh, you're just lucky". Luck, yeah, I'm sure that's what it is... /s
Colloidal silver in the nostrils. Neti pt works great, too.
I mentioned the Neti pot, but she wasn't interested as it was too "uncomfortable" (as if being sick for so long isn't uncomfortable lol, oh well). I've used Colloidal silver before, actually have some silver wire to be able to make it myself. I know they wouldn't listen though unfortunately.
The best thing I've seen for that annoying mucus plug in the throat that causes a cough but isn't loosened by coughing is a few minutes in a good wood burning sauna. I realize not everyone has or likes saunas so maybe she would go for breathing in the steam from the old fashion Vicks in a bowl of hot water method. The hot steam seems to do the trick.
While sick and at first sign of symptoms (so not sure of applicability to your Mom) use mouth wash. Listerine Original. Every 4 hours. It's bug genocide in your mouth.
There are nose washes to use as well. Some available over the counter (look for medicinal ingredients of iodine or iota-carrageenan). Again every 4 hours.
Have a look at the treatment protocols.

Early treatment is good as soon as you are sick. But after a week or two the illness goes into different phases and different things are happening to your body (i.e. dealing with viral debris and immune system reaction to the virus). I'm not sure where it is now, but I remember seeing a graph showing viral replication and immune response over a timeline. Depending on where you were on that time line, different interventions made more sense.
My now adult Daughter is a singer. She’s been asthmatic for most of her life. When she started singing publicly (around 12), whether nerves or some other factor she would catch a cold or get a sore throat, but still managed to somehow perform. I had said to her to get herself onto the C, D, Zinc and Quercetin protocol that many of us have been on, to help her thru winter before even the show was announced. Fast forward. She just had a lead role in a major musical and her singing teacher of many years told her to try salt therapy as some in cast were coming down with flu and sore throats. Her understudy was laid flat for two weeks. She had regular salt therapy leading up to opening night or any sign of hoarseness at the season start. She breezed thru the season. So salt therapy too as another protocol.
"Like holy hell you guys, what more has to happen for some of these people to realize?"
They may never realize. You need to come to terms with that and find a way to still love them.
I was born with weak bronchials. Any kind of cold or hay fever or anything usually comes with a scratchy or hoarse throat. I found Tradional Medicinals throat coat works like magic for me. A tblsp of honey a couple times a day helpedcoat it as well. There was also a post here somewhere about a baking soda molasses hot water drink to raise ph. That seemed to help as help many other aches and pains as well.
Really not sure if this applies to a jabbed person, but worked for 1.5 years chronic congestion after having a brush with C 19: Take NAC, Vite C and D3 faithfully for 3 months et voila! Fixed! I thought I would have clogged bronchial tubes the rest of my life, but no! Take higher range dosing of these things.
Perhaps a bit of ginger root for the cough and voice? it's a great anti-inflammatory,
Just like a finger's tip sized chunk, grated in some tea, or with the honey.
Ooh yes! Ginger! I actually recommended Fire Cider (has ginger, and I have some I made earlier this year I offered to her). She doesn't want it right now, but said she might be interested if it gets any worse.
I love the stuff, tastes super strong but has ginger, honey, and a ton of other positive herbs.
Yeah I love ginger, I have a bit every morning with apple cider vinegar.
Thanks! I really appreciate that! I have a few tubes of the paste ivermectin, but plan on getting a pack of pills at some point in the near future. I was mainly keeping it for if/when I got sick (still hasn't happened yet), but I've taken small doses of the paste whenever I know I've been with someone who got sick or has been sick recently.
I'll definitely mention the Zinc and Quercetin, I feel like she may be willing to take those. I actually think one of the teas she's been having has added zinc, but being a tea I'm not sure it's enough to count.
Funny you mention NAC, I actually just ordered some earlier this morning mainly because of hearing it's helpful in general, not just for the lungs. Didn't even think of mentioning that to her.
I don't know too much about this (kinda unrelated), but I've heard Ivermectin is good for warts too. I've had some on my hand for quite a while, and haven't been able to get rid of them. Maybe if I were to start taking it prophylactic it may help get rid of those. But either way, you're right in the fact that I probably should be on it. Literally, everyone I know is vaccinated, I only know of 2-3 people in person (not online) that didn't get the vaccine and none of them are people I talk to regularly.
How long did it take to start having an impact on your warts? Also, how much/how often did you take it? Just the standard prophylaxis protocol, or more often, for warts and other issues?
Thanks!
What worked for my family member was to get the apple Durvet paste from Tractor Supply. Rub a small amount directly on the wart each day. Results on small warts were seen in about a week. They dry out and can be plucked from the skin. No pain as they were basically falling off.
Agree on NAC. It helped clear my lungs
