We have no "first amendment right." We have Natural Rights endowed to us by our Creator, and is enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights as something the government cannot take away from us on a whim.
Apparently, any government can do whatever their citizens allow them to do. No document or God given right will protect a complacent or ignorant populace!

I said this recently, and was informed that it's not even close. But it can seem that way if you don't read outside of your usual preferences, and get out and around people from other cultures more.
So after he said all that, I reminded him I don't live in NYC or somewhere that I'm exposed to other cultures or immigrants a bunch, wether I like it or not. Also, its Not exactly easy to do if it goes against your identity and or the politics of the people that surround me. He got real sad and made it seem like I was a pussy he felt sorry for. I make sure to read way outside my comfort zone now. Still not brave enough to go to the other side of the tracks, so to speak. It would be nice to hear it from someone who has witnessed the corruption of other countries first hand, and fled for the best of all countries. The best of all countries can't be the MOST corrupt, can it?
