Could this be why they recently kicked up a fuss recently on the corrupt media about how exercise was fat-phobic? Interesting. Think I’ll go for a jog this week.
People become more depressed the more they stay inside and do less exercise in general. I know of a few introverts or asocial types that can function just fine by staying inside for long periods of time. But most people need to be able to move around and avoid feeling down. And to avoid cabin fever.
Everyone benefits even from light exercise. If you can only sit in a chair and lift weights, or you can go for even a 10 minute walk, or do some pull ups or push ups, you'll benefit.
As an introvert and asocial type, it was like night and day when I was walking. I didn't even really notice until I became more sedentary again due to an ankle injury that I have been trying to figure out for the past few months.
Also, I have the genes to put on muscle fast but you also lose it faster than you think too. So when you see and feel all your gains slowly ebbing away, that's a source of stress too.
Even if you have to use a cane, even if you are alone and prefer it that way, I will always encourage the most introverted to get as many walks a week in as they can.
Ok that’s weird. Some days I feel like crap when I get home but jog 5 miles and feel much better. Not the runners high. That’s different.

I agree that simple stretches and lifting with water bottles and doing lots of reps is far better than nothing.
Yes! Essentially do the exact opposite of what they're screeching about.
