The idea that many more people are commenting means they are probably dissenting or have negative things to say, versus the number of people who just give a like.

Personally, I notice a lot of ratios when baking like x cups of water to x*3 cups of flour. Not that they're printed that way, it's just something that I noticed. Cooking rice is the same way.

So a good meaning of ratio would be using multipliers when comparing numbers.
