I can do a decent British, Irish, Italian, French & Cajun...no bueno at Spanish.
Hubby has a remarkable ear and is almost in the league of Mel Blanc...can mimic all sorts of sounds. He would have been great in the days of 1940's radio doing special effect sounds, or he could have made all engine noises on "Car Talk"... funniest modern radio show ever!
I feel like I have the range of Mel Blanc, but not the chops.
With this hick country southern accent I’m hopeless. I’ve watched so much Scottish dramas I learned shite pretty quick.
No Cajun.
I can do a flawless Indian accent, but only when speaking 'short circuit' quotes.
Then you can do (actor) or (character) accent... I do a pretty good Ace Ventura! Some Monty Python too, lol
Irish, NYC Jewish, Yankee,(think old school Maine) pretty good at Spanish but sometimes that morphs into Italian, Hopelessly bad at French
My Aussie accent is very authentic.
I'm getting a little rusty now, but some of my specialities are:
Speaking Japanese in a really hard gaijin accent
Speaking Korean in a really hard northwestern American accent
Speaking Japanese in a french accent
Speaking English in a Korean accent
I'm rusty now, but I used to be able to do very good Scottish, British (variant), German, French (my french accent isn't too bad, but I'm still rusty because I don't make a fool of myself as much as I used to, at least, not linguistically) Italian.
I've never tried it, but I'm pretty certain I would botch up Russian, and don't even let me try Moldovian.
(note: I can/could speak Korean in a fluent Korean accent, just in case you thought "huh, any old foreigner can speak Korean in an American accent!").
