My normie coworkers are talking about how obvious it was that the Bengals-Chiefs game was rigged last night and were pissed about it. They were talking about how the NFL wanted the Kelce brothers to play each other, Andy Reid playing against his former team etc.
I asked how come they aren’t this pissed about the Epstein clientele list not being released? Why aren’t they this pissed about inflation? Why aren’t they this pissed about the covid scam? Why aren’t they this pissed about anything that actually matters?
They just stared at me and said nothing. Then I said well this is why this country is going down the shitter and Seattle is now a cesspool. None of you give a fuck about anything important. Then I went on my break.
Tired of normies.
What makes both easier to accept/understand is that it's kinda like stealing elections. Like how it only really takes a few counties, in sports it only takes the refs and/or play callers, maybe a few players...
Oh wow, you know the stats of your favorite players since college? That’s cool. Do you know the voting records of your local elected officials? Oh…. Ok.
Show their ignorance. It’s not they don’t have the ability to retain the info they just don’t find it important, sadly.
I agree with what your saying, absolutely. I guess I’m one that lives on both sides. I know quite a lot about football players, of certain teams. I do look up info on players, teams, drafts, etc. I also stay informed, with the huge help of these forums, and spread that info as much as I can. I can sports talk with best of them, and scare them off with real world problems at the same time. But in the end, I feel enslaved in the “slave state” in both conversations. Only because of one thing, neither has anything to do with my salvation with Jesus. Neither are really important, unless God is the focus.
I could easily use your sentences, almost word for word, and just change the focus to the Bible, and the Word of God. People are so in tuned with the worlds problems, and are intelligent…yet couldn’t even say one line of scripture from the Bible out if memory. They know very little of what, I know, to be the most important. So as someone who sees a football fan as ignorant of what’s really going on, I could say is equally ignorant of the Word of God. Both subjects are of worldly things.
1John 2:15. “ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
We are slaves to this world, as the Israelites were to Egypt. We aren’t evil, just “trapped”. I myself dabble way to much into this world’s problems, politically and entertainingly.
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned. All fall short of the glory of God.” And we shouldn’t be proud of that by no means. We all can do better. “They” aren’t any more lost or ignorant than most of us here by God’s view. And His concerns and commands are really all that matters.
I am the OP. My part time job is bartending so naturally I watch football while I work. I don’t have a problem with liking sports. Hell I still play fantasy football with my friends from high school because we’ve done it for 15 years now.
My problem is when sports and celebrities are more important then matters of the country or your local community.
I get you, absolutely. I do feel country and community problems and leaps and bounds more important that sports. But as I’ve stated…salvation, and the word of God should be more important than all of this worlds problems and rewards. Everything will continue down this path we are currently on, until we do a complete 180. And bring this back before God. Otherwise we are just gonna be Rome 2.0.
Yes, exactly. I often say that if people knew as much about politics as their sports teams or Yellowstone, the country would be a different place. Alas, here we are
An uplifting 2mins for you.

I’m right there with you btw.
Very nice thank you. It’s what’s really important.
I often think, eventually I’ll be removed from these forums because of my worldly view now. I’m with Jesus eternal. I’ve chosen a side, and its to follow Christ. I hold no worldly thing’s valuable. That includes my country and flag. I’m thankful to live in the US, absolutely. Where I’m not physically persecuted because of my faith. And have freedom to go to church and such. I would like the experiment of the United States to survive in this world. So I do pray for her. But, as what was Rome, so may be us eventually. If God isn’t upfront and center of this country, and He isn’t, then I see no way to “win”. Satan is dancing up the aisles of churches in America. And sitting in the seats of power. But that fool of a Shepard won’t defeat me, because I know how this all ends. And I’m gonna do my best to stick to the winning side. And that way is through Jesus.
Until then I do my best to inform my brothers and sisters about unhealthy choices, like vaccines. And these forums are a great source of that, and many other things. So I’m thankful for these forums, may God use this to spread His word and and bring more to Him through Jesus.
Great point, Cyberhawk. I too believe that a return to the Lord Jesus the Christ is what is needed. Hope to meet you in the air.
