I don't recall ever opting in, so quite strange. Against my better judgement i clicked the link and it took me to a page saying a FEMA "camp" had been setup in Stockton for disaster relief and asked me to confirm receipt.

I'm an IT admin so generally I wouldn't but was grouped with some legit alerts on my phone.

What is https EVB GG? Everbridge is the alerting platform supporting MessageMe for Harvard. Recipients can click on the link in the MessageMe SMS/text alert (Everbridge - Mass Notification) to read the message in its entirety. The URL in the link is evb.gg/ followed by an alert identifier (may include an alpha numeric code or all letters).

Lots of Patriots live in CA. Been here for generations. Family and friends. I would never wish disaster on people - be they left or right. Better rethink your frame of mind. If the Big One happens, CA won't fall entirely into the ocean. Those with grit will survive, but a lot of decent people will suffer. Commie jerks like Newsome will make that a given. Does that make you happy? If so, sad.

This sounds like they are expecting some kind of DISASTER in the area soon.
What could it be? Military Attack? Tsunami? Earthquake?
How do they know? Are they behind it?
If it is a natural thing they know is coming, why aren't they alerting the public?
If they are behind it, why did this person receive a personal alert, I wonder?

And, a website came up with that same name and logo. and which described the company this way:

I also did a search on just this: https://evb.gg (as seen in the text message from OP).
Instead of bringing me to the Everbridge website, I got a completely blank screen with these words on it:
Your New Application is ready. in bold print! At the top is a tab which says, "Welcome to Play".
HELP! DID I just release spyware into my computer?
