House-Keeping For Posting News Articles, Tweets, Truth, ChatGPT, Info Videos, etc:
GAW HOUSE-KEEPING
Just a little House-Keeping GAW Anons as we move forward in our digital warfare.
When posting links to anything providing info, please provide some context. As our traffic has increased, a Post with no info/context and just a link will be subject to immediate removal. A title and less than a blurb will be subject to immediate removal. Yes We Are The News Now, so please post with some provided info or context to what your link is discussing. Not Just In The Title please.
Okay that’s all for now Anons. Thank you and God bless you all. WWG1WGA.
My thoughts exactly, although I should also add, I really appreciate the intent to improve the quality of the posting.
Don't think that we can get other options, like a clickable title as in link posts PLUS an attached text/context as text posts. That would be ideal, imo. I often bump against this peculiar problem.
You especially know what I mean silly goose. Move along Kek Kek!
I dunno, 75. What do you mean, exactly.
Do you mean, if someone posts a link, then to add some context and description in a comment under the post? As pointed out, any such context is subject to being bumped down in the comment stream unless a mod actually stickies it.
Question: is there a setting that would allow regular board contributors (posters) to sticky a comment in their own post?
First question: Yes. Providing info, good. You know Fract. You’re all good. ;)
Second question: No. Mods sticky.
Thanks 75.
I'm getting a little chuffed at how we're getting some general encouragement towards better quality these days; first Cats' non-duplicate admonition, and now your Contextualization Please memorandum.
This is good stuff. Makes one wonder if the mod squad is pow-wowing a bit and rolling out initiatives to tighten up the board.
I love that. A tight ship is a happy ship.
Awakening ahoy!
Maybe a dumb question, but are you suggesting to not use the link post, or to add some content in a comment immediately after posting the link?
BTW, I appreciate informative titles - don't have time to open the same flavor of post several times
Agreed. I'm confusion.
Here's a currently stickied thread posted by a mod with a descriptive title and Twitter link, but no follow up comment: https://greatawakening.win/p/16aA98XjmD/albertas-prime-minister-has-just/c/
Just give info when you post. Don’t just blurb a title and post a link. Tell a tad what you’re posting.
But, quite often a descriptive title is really a good enough description of the topic, or subject matter. Personally, I would rather not have to click a post to see what's inside, if the title tells me enough about what the title/link is talking about. And also, a lot of times I would rather not muddy up the comments with redundant chatter to describe a descriptive title I have already posted.
I think that's what he's getting at:
Make Titles Great Again.
Seems simple enough - thanks for clarifying.
Thank you for posting this. Since the return of Twitter, I’ve seen a lot of low energy posts. With a direct link to Twitter. There’s no context to what the topic is in regards to, but people expect you to just click on something. When I see you something like that, I move on. Thank you for posting this. I’d like to keep this place high energy, and good content.
If there’s no context, I will rarely click on link. If somebody cannot even mention the context within the title, yeah, it’s a hard pass for me. I mean, maybe, and I mean, just maybe I had a good day, and I have time, I might click on something randomly. But a lot of the times people make posts, and they say something like.
Wow, I can’t believe this is happening…
And then there’s a link
I just feel like it’s kind of Clickbait-ish
I feel this post is to me. I use the Link Post often because it is quick to do and provides the sauce (sauce = source for the newbies) for the subject I am sharing.
That said, with respect to our great Mods here, I will add a sentence to title about why I share the link. I sometimes do this anyways if a heightened response within me occurs to it.
To help further, I may highlight particular content in what I have read that seems pertinent to why I share in the comments. I find that formatting the comment using the "> " and two or three asterisks around significant words to bold and italicize them" to quote the article clarifies what is the author's content from what is my own comment about it.
Finally, I hope to keep my pledge that what I write be truthful, and if I am uncertain of the truth of it, I will cite that I do not know if it is true and provide the source of the statement as best I can. (Again, one more reason I like Link Posts.)
All good. No worries.
Maybe it's stupidity, but I don't understand.
You have 3 choices when posting;
If you choose Text, you must add script in order to post. A box for doing so appears when you choose Text.
If you choose Image or Link, you do not get the box for adding script.
How can you add script with Text and Image posts if the box to do so isn't there?
So, the only way to add information to Image and Link posts is to change the format on Image and Link so that we can do so. Just add the box.
Really…..when you post a Title, add some info of why, “about”, if your going to drop a link. Simple. Geez.
Okay! Gotcha
It's good life habit in general to provide a brief summary rather than a dump a 40-minute Youtube link with no context and expect people to care.
Bingo!! Winner winner! This Anon just put the oh so easy dots together for others!!
GUILTY! As charged.
Haha see. It’s that easy. Admit, fix for next time, move on. Nice Anon! ;)

Censoring under the guise of professionalism
Um no. Don’t try to play games and Grief this Mod. You know what I’m saying. If you personally don’t like it, too bad. Now move along!

This is partial joke
I know haha! I can take a shoulder punch.
