This issue is, there are not other viable alternatives to amazon. Walmart, amazon, target, lowes, home depot, big grocery chains are all the same.
Yes netflix is easy to cut. But if we stop using amazon what is the alternative?
Ebay and your local non-pozzed store chains like Stater Bros and Rural King. Even the Amish have their own online stores as well. Then we build out from there.
If you need a bunch of essential stuff from big corporations, buy in bulk, them burn your bridges. You don't have to start by being all in. It sends a message.
true, I buy my lightbulbs from lightbulbs.com, a family owned business. I try, bought a new jacket from kuiu. Haven't been to a target in a decade. But, have not been able to not use amazon yet. will work on that.
I've found a bunch of sellers on ebay and walmart marketplace just drop-shipping stuff from amazon and adding some markup 🫤
Can't we just throw bozos back into hell and take it over?
You mean the Rural King that sells mostly Chinese trash?
It's all Chinese crap coming from the big retailers. Baby steps bro. At least they are not promoting the LGBTQ, Leftist garbage Tractor Supply is. I'm sure you could buy great useful items from local crafters, do antiquing and find the Made in America website that promotes US manufactured items.
I stopped going to Tractor Supply. They can kiss my ass.
This is true.
Do you really need to buy all that much? is everything you get at amazon really necessary for you and your family?
At the very least what one should do is: when there's something that's really critical you need, first look around in local shops, then try family owned businesses you can find online (there are some patriot marketplaces around), and only then when everything else fails go to amazon and the rest.
Yeah it'll take some looking, yeah you'll probably spend a few dollars more, but it's well worth it imo.
You are correct. I do not need some of the stuff I get from anywhere to be honest. If times get real tough then shit gets cut. Right now it is not tough enough for most people. When it is then we shall see where this goes
I do that for some things, need to do it for more.
Exactly right. Besides food, there really aren't a whole lot of objects that we need to run around buying. Get good quality household goods and they last a long time.
Local non-woke charitable second hand, thrift and consignment organizations. Garage sales, estate sales, flea markets and swap meets, too. You may not get everything you want or need all the time, and it may take a while (weeks, months) to find things, but it may force you to reasses the necessity of the item, and you'll be amazed what shows up at these places, . . ., and at a fraction of retail.
re-assessing what I truly need would be the most beneficial.
IMO, many Amazon purchases (my husband is baseline study for this comment) are impulse purchases. He has a thought of, "it would be nice to have ____", and it's at the door the next day. I haven't purchased from Amazon in years. eBay in over a year. I got to small stores and support my small town when I need to shop.
I live in a small town as well and there is NO place to shop. I don't want to buy chinese so Walmart is out. And there is NO other store here! I get some foods from Amazon because they are not here. period. I have hit EVERY possible place for lemon zest and cannot find any anywhere. No I don't need it and I do without. But that's my point. I want vitamin c I have to get it online and then pay $6.00 shipping for one bottle. I wish there were more stores here but that's impossible, too.
Not trying to be rude, but in what way are these stores “all the same” as Amazon?
Sure, Home Depot isn’t exactly MAGA central, but their (R) vs (D) donation record is more favorable by far than Amazon.
As far as groceries go, smaller chains (HEB, Publix, Safeway, etc) are pretty good about sourcing local. I’m far more comfortable with them than with Amazon.
I thinlk of walmart and home depot tge same as I do rinos. I believe them to be globalists.
They all showed me who they were with masking.
Amazon could be worse. I dont trust amy of the big corps.
