That’s Pollen residue. We see this every year just like this. No panic.
Things are just beginning to bloom on the opposite side of the State, I mean JUST beginning...could be pollen...
It’s not yellow, it’s dark brown. I’m familiar with pollen. Also pretty confident of you to know exactly what something is from a picture on the internet.
Do any of you patriots who are in the affected area own a microscope? I'd be anxious to learn what is in that residue. Are there any labs in those states doing any kind of forensics on this? Someone has to be doing research on this, right??
Ive had a weird residue on my windshield for over a year. Even acetone doesn't get it all and it comes back. I've gone through 4 sets of wipers blades to figure it out.
Try mineral spirits(may need a wipe down with something soap/alcohol like after), if it is organic chances are the mineral-spirits will dissolve it..
or hydrogen peroxide.
Adding an oxidizer to an unknown substance is.... ill-advisable...
Have a coworker in Arkansas and she said they woke up this morning to a lot of dust. They had no rain just lots of wind.
I live near state line road in Kansas and my car looks like that as well after the storm last night. When I lived in Az my car would look like that because of dust mixed with the rain but I’ve not noticed it here really before you mentioned this.
We all have seen residue from rain. This looks different, almost like forming plastic chains with the dust and chemicals. Trying to form PVC AFTER BEING BURNED INTO SMOKE/GAS FORM.
Looks like the dust storm at the end of the storms last night mixed with the rain.
Should be fairly straight forward to get a chemical sample kit, do a few swabs and mail it to a friend in a different state to have them send it in to an accredited chemical testing/environmental laboratory........
Plastic residue?
I saw the same exact thing on my car today in North Texas. I see that every year. It's pollen.
Tell the guys that calling it dust then.
Any idea why the people in Ohio are having similar things right after the explosion?
That is 'west Texas' dust from the 100 MPH winds right behind that storm.
For everyone saying “it’s just dust, it’s pollen.” I wouldn’t have posted this if this had happened ANY time in the last 3 years. I clean these doors every single day, spring, summer, fall. Never had this.
