In Biblical prophecy, it is clear that God promises the Jews nothing because of their disobedience. Of their heritage, Jesus said that he could raise descendants of Abraham from the very rocks.
The “real” Jews were the Israelites. I did not mean to imply that today’s Jews are Israelites.
The re-grafting in of Israel (Romans 9–11) will occur during the millennial kingdom where Christ will rain on earth from Jerusalem for 1000 years. They (the true Jews, i.e., Israelites) have been set aside for a time to allow the Gentiles (sheep from another fold) to experience the forgiveness and blessings of God.
They weren't "set aside"
Read the Bible.
They were cast out, chased and devoured by God.
Until they repent, they will not be acceptable to God and they will not be allowed back to their homeland. Until then, their homeland will be occupied by "gentiles" -- people who were not descended from Israel.
Tell me, have the jews repented and accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior yet?
If not, then the people living in Israel are not descendants of Israel.

This occurs on a National scope at Christ’s return.
Currently there is a remnant. As Romans 9-11 clearly explains.
