Birthday dinner at Basilico’s in Huntington Beach last night. Here’s a sign on the door. While there a food delivery person walked in wearing a mask, and was immediately told to remove the mask or wait outside. She thought they were joking, but found out they weren’t.

Christ said He came first for the Jews, to the Samaritan woman. And the messianic Jews say that accepting Christ as their Messiah and savior is the greatest fulfillment possible for a Jew.
Where did you get such an idea, that there are no shared values? What are the 10 commandments? What is the greatest commandment? What did Jesus say was like unto that? Don't you know that all the times God was scolding the Jews it was for not holding up their expected duties of charity, kindness, and worshipping the same God who is Jesus's father? Are you saying Christians aren't supposed to value charity, kindness, and worshipping God?
Good comment : I know many Jewish people, real Jewish people who practice their faith and love their Christian ( Jesus ) brothers and sisters ! Many get saved , I also know people who were brought up in the Jewish faith and converted to Christianity ! They pray for their parents but , still respect their faith and honor the 5th commandment ! Yes , there are many fake Jews etc that's a whole different topic !
Nah
Um, Christ was Jewish and his first disciples were Jews ?
How does this get downvoted?
Because it's not true.
Christ was an Israelite. He did not descend from jew-ish bloodline or proceed it. He was brought up through the customs of jew-ish practice, ya know, because Christianity didnt exist yet. That's what you may be thinking of.
Read Matthew. The first verse starts with His genealogy from Abraham, through Isaac and then Jacob. This is the basic definition of a Jew.
I'm sorry, I didnt see that the bible made those connections. It appears you did. What is the basic definition then? What about a Judahite?
Where does it say that his disciples were all jews?
Not one of them was a scribe, sadducee or a pharisee. The first "real jew" disciple we have sure knowledge about was Saul/Paul.
At the time, where Jesus was doing his ministry, and in particular, the locations he was ministering in, we see that the populations were mixed. Indeed, he worked among the Romans and Samaritans as much as the jews, if not more so.
Yo, Yud, the book of Matthew traces the lineage of Jesus all the way back to Abraham. IF Jesus’ parents weren’t 100% Jewish (in the line of Promise), then how was this possible for Matthew to do? Are you implying that Matthew is lying? Or somehow mistaken?
Did you notice that Ruth is in that line?
Was Ruth a Jew?
David was a descendant of Ruth, too. Was David a Jew?
Beware the scribe.
Er...fun fact: Jesus is a Jew.
Depends on how “Jew” is defined.
False.
Yoooo....God chose the Jews (Israelites) as the vessel to bring the Messiah into the World.
Jews =/= Israelites
The tribe of Judah is one tribe of 12
Besides, in Revelation, God disavows them, calling them the synagogue of Satan.
In Biblical prophecy, it is clear that God promises the Jews nothing because of their disobedience. Of their heritage, Jesus said that he could raise descendants of Abraham from the very rocks.
The “real” Jews were the Israelites. I did not mean to imply that today’s Jews are Israelites.
The re-grafting in of Israel (Romans 9–11) will occur during the millennial kingdom where Christ will rain on earth from Jerusalem for 1000 years. They (the true Jews, i.e., Israelites) have been set aside for a time to allow the Gentiles (sheep from another fold) to experience the forgiveness and blessings of God.
They weren't "set aside"
Read the Bible.
They were cast out, chased and devoured by God.
Until they repent, they will not be acceptable to God and they will not be allowed back to their homeland. Until then, their homeland will be occupied by "gentiles" -- people who were not descended from Israel.
Tell me, have the jews repented and accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior yet?
If not, then the people living in Israel are not descendants of Israel.
