I had an LG flip phone for ages until Verizon told me it would no longer work on their network. They sent free 'similar' flip phone replacement made by Orbic. It's kind of like a smart dumbphone, it has a browser that can surf the internet. I only use it on wifi, though, so as not to suck up my data.
I haven't looked around to see what other flip phone are available, but I do know there's, at least, one out there.
My Samsung updates automatically after I tell it no x number of times. Feels quite violating. My phone is my only computer, and I look forward to a day when I shut down my specialty contracting business and shoot my phone with my .308
So do NOT download and install the update. roger.
I have one, its got Lineage OS on it so "what me worry?"
Why is it bad? The article states why it is good.
Samsung probably left a backdoor in there for security agencies and it's been discovered. That's a guess btw,
I'm ditching my smart phone, going back to an ordinary moby.
Do those actually exist anymore? I mean as a new product one can buy.

I think so, I have an old Nokia I'd love to resurrect.
