Serious question. Prior to 2020, does anybody EVER remember reading a news story of a teenager going into cardiac arrest and dying while inactive?
The only pre-2020 stories I ever remember reading about teenagers passing was something like a tragic auto accident, the occasional American footballer overheated and collapsing, etc. But a teenager just essentially sitting on an airplane??
As a teacher, I once had a female student who told me that she had a heart attack over the summer. It turned out to be a birth related defect. That was the only one I experienced in 41 years of teaching averaging 125 students per year.
Interesting. Thx for sharing and for your services teaching. I come from a long line of teachers and my wife is one too. I took a different career path. Not an easy job so kudos to you. I believe there's a special place in heaven for teachers.
I'm 60yo. when I was 16 or 17 a girl in my class died while watching TV. Her case was also a birth defect issue.
But airlines are supposed to have those things charged at all times, right? Lawsuit?
The parents filing a lawsuit is in the article.
Those things are supposed to be on wall mounted chargers
Defibrillator may not have saved him in any case.
True. When I report my “died suddenly” stories, it is reported that defibrillators did not help.
if it's an aortic tear or a clot in a major artery, then you can imagine that a defibrillator might not save the person.
Exactly, defib will address electrical issues.
Unfortunately, correct.
Because a defib puts the heart back into beating-- but a beating heart CANNOT push the blood through the clot ridden arteries- clots block blood flow
True. So, the autopsy may clear the airline of responsibility and put it squarely on the vaccine.
They had just used the defib on both pilots. Forgot to recharge. Damn.
Should be standard part of a safety check. Flight crew didn’t do their job.
If her son got the Covid jab, she needs to sue anyone associated with that also.
AA's best defense will be to offer evidence that it's the jab that caused the heart attack, and the proper remedy is to sue big pharma. Well, one can dream.
Wow. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen...
Was a Paramedic/Fireman for over 26 years and I only had one case of a teenager dying of heart issues. Congenital heart defect. I was forced out due to mandatory clot shot at dept. Many more cases of teens dying now, Info from friends still on the job. Terrible.
