All of the flags on stage were folded the same way with the edges not showing. Stood out to me because I don't recall seeing them arranged that way recently or maybe at all before. Maybe I wasn't paying attention before? But definitely couldn't see if there was fringe or not from what I saw.
Everyone was live streaming on their phones when he first walked out so I'm sure there's an angle on one of them that shows more of the flags. I don't have social media so I won't be seeing them but I suspect others on here will see the cellphone videos online and get an answer.
SovCit psychos say there is some significance to gold braid on the flag. I don't really know about that. All I know for sure is the United States is not a nation under rule of law.

Just saw the bottom edge of one of the flags as Trump was walking off stage. No gold fringe.
Edit: sorry one of the white stripes made it look like the edge. Im not sure.
