And now they want to act so surprised in why she wasn't there. Why should she be there? The media would've found fault in something had she been there. Either way, the news outlets would've been creating something out of nothing. So I totally get why she remained out of the spotlight. This WAS a big night for Trump. And if that's literally all they can obsess with Melania not being with her husband, it shows how desperate they are to sell their trashy narrative.

Was thinking much of the same this morning. Mrs. 45 is a class act. Surely 45 prepared her for what was to come, and he would want to protect her at all costs. I think he adores her. She is smart and tough enough to handle the trashy MSM narratives - tabloid fodder, really - that circulate about her, and there's probably a combo of strategy and respect for her wishes at play whenever her appearance alongside him might be significant. Today, her absence allowed Horseface's vulgar post to take center stage, and that was brilliant strategy. Daniels' porn tweet shows all of this for what it is - a cheap liberal circus act. Melania's absence makes clear that she is no part of that world. "I really don't care...do you?" ;)

And there were some concerning situations on the street that USSS had to break its stride to handle. If I am planning security for something tense like this, the last thing I want is to double the high-profile targets I have to protect.
