I'm really interested in the reactions the hipster liberals who think minorities are too poor/dumb to use the internet or get an ID.
Seriously, we're "racist" for suggesting Voter ID's... the liberals are "Progressive" for suggesting minorities are too stupid to acquire ID's... and now they're going to support a digital currency - which is lightyears more complex than acquiring literally any form of ID in the universe.
It'll probably be this: CBDC ok because controlled by globalists, gold backed digital currency bad.
"Gold is a threat to [our democracy]."
Exactly
Fuck. Off.
If you can't hold it, you don't own it.
I agree, but the central banks are going implement a fiat digital currency whether we like it or not, so a gold backed digital currency controlled at the state level, where we have more control, would allow a liable alternative and perhaps drive the fed’s bad money and control out of the market.
Sounds like DOOMER talk to me!
We're going to win, son. If you think the enemy will succeed, then you thingk WE will FAIL, thus you are a DOOMER!
GOLD shall destroy Fed.
GOLD.
Not ones and zeroes.
GOLD.
Wrong. Just return our existing money to silver or gold standard. We don't need want DC. I fear that there will be an economic collapse that will lead to DC anyway. If it's back by precious metals now it will be fiat again in 50 years
What gold exactly? Where will it be stored? Will the populace be able to verify it's ACTUALLY there? I feel we've seen this part of the movie before. Oh, this is also the route to Social Scores and the apps that will end up very similar to those used by the CCP.
If you get Navada or Montana goldbacks, the gold is in your hand: 1/1000th of an ounce.
There's also the Navada and Montana goldbacks. They're a fractional gold film between mylar layers. For example, you can melt a thousand of them (there's more than one denomination) and end up with 1 Troy ounce of 24k gold. The mylar burns off. Instead of the gold allegedly being in a state vault or a bank, the gold is inside the bill.
Wow! I just learned about this from your post! Very useful! Thank you!

We do not need digital currency. Digital currency means they can block you from spending your money. Keep hard cash if you like freedom.
digital,
as in no folding beer tokens.
As in...what?
folding beer tokens = paper money
That's the first time I've ever heard that euphemism.
Awkward metaphor aside, you're right.
If you can't hold it, you don't own it.
STACK.
