I need some help please.
I am in danger of being locked out of my Great Awakening account, and if that happens I may not be able to get back in.
Like so many others this community is my one important link to sanity and I'm scared of losing it.
At the moment I am only logged in on one device and it's been acting up lately.
I can't remember my password or which email I used to sign up with way back when. I have tried much to figure it out only to be met with frustration.
A small hint to get the ball rolling would probably do the trick.
I am very proud of all the Frens that contribute so much on this board, and I feel very grateful to be a part of it too.

If it happens that you lose your login, start another account with a similar name and we'll know you. I appreciate your posts btw. Especially on the subjects of Russia and Ukraine.

So if OP is still here, he could start the parallel account on a second opened tab and shovel important posts over to the new account. (I always have two GA tabs open simultaneously to see news on one and to create a lengthy post on the other in my time - a bit multi-tasking).
In 2020 I was hit 'suddenly' and had no other choice than to start blank new. Felt very bad for the moment, but ...

just add a 1 to the end of your name
You're going to either need to remember your password (it may be possible to somehow find out the password stored in the current browser you're using).
Or you're going to have to try sign in on another device with a bad password and click send password to your account.
You can't even change your account email unless you know your password.
You're going to have to get a password manager, like https://keepass.info
This should be standard operating procedure for digital anons, anon. That way you can have billions of personas online, without having to worry about what the password was, or without having a weak password
Unless you can get your password or that password reset email, you have no option but create a new account.
This happened to me. I had to create a new account and start over as Handshake. Good luck to you, fren. I hope it works out okay.

That's what I did.
I am sorry to hear that...one important lesson I learned is to always write down your password and account info...I have a terrible memory so I bought a book especially for that. I know that doesn't help now....but it is good advice for the future...hopefully there is someone that can help you figure out your info so you can stay on the site...

Thats what Ive done too. I have a lab notebook that I keep my pw in. That way if I die people can get into my accounts and I also will never forget them. I have a ton of business linked accounts my family will need access to if Im gone.
Try copying a live link on your device. Email it to the device you want to get back on and paste it into the browser. Or take the live link and hand type it in to the browser of the device you want to get back on. Hand type the link from this thread into the browser of the device you cannot remember your password.

To confirm, is there no way for the mods to tell me the first three letters of the email used? I think it may have been one that I set up just for this forum and then it faded into mind history.
If I can figure that then I can get a password reset sent, I think.
On a humorous note: when you set up a PW, use a phrase; the one I used to use was easy to remember: obamasucksmb (mb= monkey balls)
If there is a way to find the account creation date I may be able to look back through my screenshots.
